A friend who is 6'4" and 280# went "trick or treating" last year dressed as a horse racing jocky. Not gun related, but kind of funny with the little hat, poofed pants, shiny boots and a little whip thing.
You should be able to find a nice High Standard Tournament in the $500 range. Look for the Hamden mfg guns. They are hard to beat and you will only have to spend the money 1 time. You will more than likely still be shooting it 20 years from now.
I have had work done by John Kelly for the last 7-8 years. Everything from a perfect trigger on my High Standards to Bowmar cuts on a 1911, with lots of stuff in between, like making screws and springs. Great work and a great guy.
