Only down side I have is the european mag release (its on the bottom of the magazine). Not a bad system, just different from my other carry gun so I have to practice it a few times. But other than that its a great, reliable pistol.

my vote is makarov. I use it for CC and it has been 100% reliable. Just curious, what brand of ammo is it?

I carry a makarov for CCW and really like it. My first handgun. Unfortunately all my usual websites are out of mak ammo (and some are charging up to 15 dollars a box for brown bear). I might have to start reloading I guess.

My mother got the Bersa Thunder CC for her CCW and it is very reliable, however the sights are pretty difficult on the CC version. VERY low profile. They are great for pulling out of a holster, but my Makarov has better sights, and thats saying something. -Alex

I can hit a 6 inch steel square at 50 yards with my makarov. usually hit about 50% of the shots. usually its just a fun way to burn some ammo at the end of a range session.

Nothing wrong with a GI M1 carbine. Those new rifles that use the M1 carbine mags looks interesting. Rock River Arms also makes an AR in 9mm

I picked up a couple of 15 round korean mags from CTD and the work great. My USGI 15 round mag jams quite a bit, but I will keep it more for historical reasons and shoot the snot out of the korean mags.

My M1 carbine had a few problems with chambering rounds, but it was due to the 60 year old magazine. I bought a couple of aftermarket mags and now it works great. Perhaps that could help solve some (but probably not all) of your issues.

Definitely sounds like a good price to me. I just picked up an IBM M1 carbine a few months ago. It is hands down my new favorite gun and I love shooting it. Make sure to get a sling/oiler and some extra mags, and lots of ammo.

Yes, I have shot about 80 or 100 rounds through my enfield this year using prvi partisan. It all shot reliably and I had no problems. I am actually using the cases in my handloads. The only reason I have not bought any in a while is because I reload now. -Alex

I bought a bulgarian makarov off J&G sales. it was $230 and although has a little wear on the outside, the bore looks great and I don't think more than 100 rounds were ever shot through it. -Alex

If you want a smaller all metal frame gun I would recommend a makarov. Shoot great, and nice small package but is still a little heavy. -Alex
