Liberty University to become first U.S. college with an on-campus firing range

Just bad reporting is all. It is 'The Blaze' after all. Got to be spectacular! Perhaps they are the only to currently have 3-gun range...meh. The Ohio State University has had a gun range since at least 1875. Their current 'Lt. Hugh W. Wylie Range' was built in 1966. Located on campus just...

Does it drive you nuts when someone leaves a gun review who hasn't fired or cleaned the gun yet?

Doesn't bother me in the least...and I'm old. People write what they write, it's not all that big of a deal. There are simply too many more important issues on this planet to let internet gun reviews/comments bother me. .

Over seas without a gun, and I wish I'd had one. Sharing an experience.

Same here. I've lived and worked in many countries around the world, without feeling threatened in my daily life. Some of the scariest places are right here in the USA.

Ammo prices short and long term

I 'stocked up' in 2008. Just stashed away thousands of rounds in all the cartridges that I shoot. Enough to last me quite a few more years.

Why isn't Elmer Fudd on the list? Or James Puckle?

Article - New Term: 'Super Owner'

On the other hand, it probably won't be long now until some company introduces the limited run 'Super Owner Edition' rifle or handgun. Or perhaps the limited edition 'Super Owner Starter Collection': 17 guns in a display box. .

Article - New Term: 'Super Owner'

Lois Beckett loves that term 'super owner'...it is in the title of at least 2 of her recent articles. And she seems to love making any gun owner appear to be crazy. On a side note, she looks to be about 16....precious little snowflake. 17 guns? Not very many really. But it probably seems like...

.22LR ammo is now available, but where?

Walmart on US23 north of Columbus Ohio had some this weekend. It is called the 'Lewis Center' store...just north of Powell Road on 23. CCI Mini-Mags were priced at $7.77 per 100 rounds. I saw 17 packs on the shelf.

    If you want .22's

Saturday afternoon I was at a local Walmart and saw CCI Mini-Mags $7.77 per 100. They had 17 packs on the shelf. That is the best .22 price I've seen in a long while. I didn't need any, still have over 11,000 rounds of Mini-Mag and Blazer.

    Beretta 950

I used to carry my 1957 Beretta 950b hammer down on a loaded chamber. As I recall, Beretta recommends hammer down, NOT in the half-cock notch. Cock and locked is asking for an ND, it isn't a 1911. Plus, you can't "lock" a 950 or 950b. As was said, prior to 1968, Beretta 950 and 950b had no...

    Single Caliber Concept

Well...I suppose if I only owned 2 or 3 guns for a single reason, that might make sense...maybe. But I don't own 2 or 3 guns...and they are not all owned for the same reason. I agree with the poster who said he probably would not add a cartridge size though. .

    Black Rifles Matter

Yeah, saw that in the news yesterday. Also saw a bunch of local protesters at the county dog shelter with 'Dog Lives Matter' signs. Honestly, I am quite weary of this 'insert-favorite-cause Matter' stuff. When you beat people over the head with something until it is meaningless, then it is...

Any reason for buying the cheap pot metal guns anymore?

Guys, where dd this 'polymer frame' idea come from? The small Keltec, Ruger (and other such guns that are loosely based on the K-TP32 design) DO NOT HAVE A POLYMER 'FRAME'. They have a machined aluminum alloy frame pinned inside the polymer 'handle'. The serial number that you see is part of...

    Pistol Nomenclature

Pistol, Handgun, or (if it uses a cylinder) Revolver. Not sure why a new name is needed, simply because a particular pistol's action was originally used in long gun form. And, as has been mentioned several times, how many hands you use doesn't define anything.

    Lets hear your Rohm/RG stories!

If you are referring to the President Reagan shooting, John Hinkley used an RG14. Perhaps that is why your RG23 never went to collector item status?
