CC guns by definition are rarely fun to shoot.

Unfortunately, 2" is probably about as good as it gets with this rifle in that chambering. 2" is fine for hunting of course.

If you want a belted Magnum, I would go with the 7mm. It's fun, versatile, powerful, but far more manageable recoil- wise. I was shooting my 300 Win Mag today and it's not fun at all.

I kinda think the 375 Ruger is an unnecessary "improvement" on the 375 H&H, and there is definitely something to be said about belted cases when hunting dangerous game. But if you can get a sweet deal, why not?
