Take your bolt out and inspect the firing pin area for excess cosmoline(sp). It sounds like something maybe lodged behind the fireing pin. Also you might try some break cleaner on the bolt assembly.

It does sound like you have a magazine issue. Go grab the proper magazine (I believe the G17 magazines will work) they are 20-24 bucks usually. If that doesn't fix the problem I am not exactly sure what it could be off hand. However that sounds just like the issue I had with my rock island...
