    Should I go lefty?

If you are using an optic it shouldn't matter what eye you use. Just close the other one.

    Ar 15 seating depth

Each rifle and barrel can or will be different. If you want to reload first you have to find out where the rifling starts then seat the bullets as long as you can and still have them fit in your mag.

    Shock at Walmart

Don't know if this is a National chain but in the MidWest, Fleet Farm started selling ARs and handguns. I was pretty surprised to see that too.

    Radioshack Shotgun Promotion

When I was in college, a Ford dealership in town was giving away an 870 to anyone who bought a new Ranger. I was poor so I didn't get one :(

    Nickel Or brass caseing

Nickel is supposed to be a little slicker than regular brass so it is supposed to load better, and I have heard it is a little harder than regular brass as well. I guess the added hardness would explain the more frequent cracking in the necks. I have also heard that since it is harder, it...

    .223

If you are using mixed brass, in my opinion, you have no choice but to use charge weights on the lower end. The .223 case isn't that big so even a relatively small change in case capacity can have a significant change in pressures (like you get with mixed brass). You can't expect ideal...

    Run in with TSA today

It's a government operation, therefore, by definition, it can't make sense. Get a lock on the hard case, lock that in another box and lock that in your suitcase and wrap the whole thing in duct tape!

What WNTFW said, also, walnut can be a bit dustier (if that's a word).

    Best AR Lower?

The Rock Rivers are great. If you want it all together, their two stage match trigger would be pretty hard to beat.

    Elk hunting in Colorado

From what I have seen in the regs, there is no bullet length restrictions. Can't use sabots, or pyrodex type pellets, and you have to use open sights/no scopes or dots. That's about all I saw.

    Elk hunting in Colorado

Thinking of putting in for a muzzleloader elk tag in Colorado next fall and wondering what bullet/powder combos people like. I have an Austin Hallek inline rifle in .50 Cal. Was looking at the Hornady FPB bullets, anyone have experience with these on elk?

History Channel's "Top Shot" on Sunday night

It was the best show they have had so far. I record it so I don't have to listen to all the BS drama stuff. I also think it is to bad Kelly got knocked out and if he went second, I think he would still be there. Now I think JJ is the only "real" competative shooter left. So far, I have been...

    Eotech Alternative?

I like the H-1 as well but if it won't get knocked around, I have heard good things about the Burris as well.

Need a new pistol for carry

I just got a S&W M&P in a full sized .45 and so far I really like it. The compact M&P 9 is pretty nice and holds a lot of rounds. If I were looking for a plain clothes/off duty gun I think that would be it. With the new bonded bullets coming out now I think the 9mm is a great round and when...

Blind in right eye, need help shooting again

The left havnded shooting would be your best option I think. A good friend of mine got hit in the eye with a snowball when we were younger and had an eye patch for a few months. He taught himself to shoot left handed and it worked well. I don't have experience with the crossover scope mounts...

History Channel's "Top Shot" on Sunday night

I think this notion that mounted shooters are just riding around shooting blanks and not having to hit anything is wrong. They do shoot "blanks" in the fact there is no lead, but the rounds are capped with wax or plastic so when they shoot at the balloons or what ever else they have to shoot...
