I have been kicking around the idea of getting a new chrome lined barrel from fulton armory, I am wondering how good the quality and acuracy of the barrels are.
I took my M1 shooting the other day and the empty casing got stuck between the reciver and the bolt. I have shot it about a 100 times and never had a problem with it till now. It has a new op rod spring.
Recently bought this old rifle from my uncle i got it and two other guns for 100 dollars. he told me that back in the day you could get a conversion plug for them to convert to 45 long colt. anybody know anything about these conversions or if they still make them? any help would be appreciated.
+1 for the enfield. about 6 months ago i bought a grenade launcher Lee Enfield for $100. The bore in it is mint (or close to it) and it shoots great. Perfect for deer or elk.
Get an M1 Garand with adjustable gas plugs. then it will beable to handle all the 30-06 loads u throw at it. its also a proven battle rifle and is extremely rugged and relible. also it wouldnt be a bad defence rifle if your home was being raided.
Today at the gun shop i ordered a Rock Island 1911 45 GI model and it was 450 dollars before taxes. Is that to much for that pistol. I am on a tight budget and just wondered you know i could spend the extra money on ammo.
