Im currently doing my first rebuild/mod job on a norinico sks, I am kind of feeling around in the dark (what else is a first time for, if not to teach teach you a little of what your doing), but I do know that there is quite a nick in the crown of the gun, and i was wondering if one of these ptg...

if that's not modified, i don't know what is, not mine, but just an example it can be done
well, the stock anyway, but still
That's almost exactly what I was wondering, I was told that Savage actually made the rifle, and that it was basically a model 340, I just wasn't sure if the "basically" extended to using the same parts
Does anyone here know whether parts for the old model 340 savage will fit this rifle. I believe that the revelation model 225 is made by savage for western auto, but before i get one id like to know if there are available parts for it.
Well, at the point of picking up a gun they just found the most reasonable course of action would be to rack the slide (or pull the mag) to see if its loaded and has a round chambered.....granted, at the point of breaking into a house, grabbing a gun you know nothing about with the intention of...
I recently had an incident with a friend im teaching to shoot, specifically he dry fired the gun and the firing pin broke, i was wondering if any of you out there know where i can get a new firing pin for a Harrington & Richardson Model 088 break action .410? And possibly how to put a new one in?
well that was the point of saying i dont know about killing hogs because they are big and tough.... ive never hunted them, but ive seen farm pigs shot point blank with a 45 in the head and not die quick, i was just pointing out that they can kill medium sized game, and responding to loadedround...
i dont know about hogs, as i have never hunted them, and they are pretty big and at least seem pretty rugged.... deer however can be killed easily, provided a reasonable amount of accuracy (gotta hit the vitals obviously).... as to not using it on anything bigger than fox, if it can kill a 180...
well based on the general responses i have gotten here, and the responses ive gotten to several other posts..... i think im just going to start ignoring things that go against my personal experience, thanks for the feed back guys
ive always thought so too, the ones ive had experience with jam less, operate smoother, and shoot better, but ive heard almost as many similar complaints about norincos, so i figured maybe ours were just lucky ones of the batch
we actually use ours at the yearly turkey shoots, and usually bring home first place hams, using the sandbags and actual gun rests provided at the turkey shoots we can reliably put at least every other shot into the 1 inch bullseye at one hundred yards..... but alas, most people seem to report...
Ive noticed that almost every report of sks accuracy makes them out to be very inaccurate weapons that arent capable of shooting groups smaller than a dinner plate at 100 yards. My brother and my dad both own a norinco sks, my dads bought unfired in 1989, and my brothers bought used a year ago...
Stumbled across an article in an old American Rifleman that featured an artist named Jeni Benos. This young lady, out of a love of shooting and art, combined the two to create jewelry she calls "pistol petals". It is actually pretty neat, and looks nice, i think it would make a cute and unique...
its a weatherby vangaurd, with a bushnell elite 10x 3200 on millet weaver style base/rings, i suspect raised scope rings would help, but the scopes height is right where i want it, so i think ill just turn it, and learn to remember the adjustments are different
