It's only as safe as the person carrying it. So long as you do your part the gun will do it's, Just keep your finger off the trigger. IMHO some people put too much faith in external safeties.

Not much they can do without the links anyway. I work with the 60 on a dialy basis and i know how finiky they can be if certain parts are overlooked or negleted. It's not as user friendly as some of the other weapons. I highly doubt they could keep one working for too long.

I own a Kahr and i enjoy it very much. It has never given me any problems and it's not uncomfortable to shoot.

Maybe the 17 doesn't fit your hand as well as the Colt. Im a pretty good shot period, but i found i do my best work with a 92fs. It just fits my hand the best. I can do things with a 92fs at 25 yards that i could never duplicate with any other weapon and believe me i have tried.

Yep plastic safety and plastic guide rod. Even the new berettas have plastic guide rods. Im realy thinking about getting the Taurus but the plastic safety bugs the heck out of me. How do they stand up accuracy wise to the Beretta?
