    Obsolete?

No. As seen it is doing better now than ever. More companies are making guns, and finding ammo now with the internet is not a problem. I reload mine, witch is another option. It is a very versatile cartage if it is loaded to its potential. Unfortunately you sometimes have to look for "real"...

    Personal preference on bolt-action .308

CB900F, Did you have to order it or was it in a store? Sounds like a good deal. DO you plan on changing anything in the future? A shop in SD actually have a couple of LH 700s in stock right now so I picked one up. The last gun show here also had a couple of LH bolt rifles for sale. First...

    Personal preference on bolt-action .308

I was looking at this too. You can now pick up a 700SPS for about the same as a Savage. Savage advantages are you can do more work yourself, like changing the barrel, but there is not as much aftermarket support. Remington 700, well, if it is made for a bolt action, you can probably get it...

    "Find Compromise in Gun Debate"

As others have said, I find it interesting how many of these reporters and liberals define compromise. Kind of like the example of a mugger deciding only deciding to take part of you money and not all of it and calling that a compromise. Too bad they want to use a double standard when...

Monster Hunter International: Review thread with SPOILERS!!!

Finished the book last night. The wife gott on me for reading it too fast and not taking my time to enjoy it, he he he. Your book kind of reminded me of the Dresden books in a way, but cooler. I would love to be abel to get abomination, to bad i am stuck here in CA right now, and they don't...

CA: FAB-10 or Monster Man grip

If you all ready have mags then definitely get the MM grip. You might also want to look at the U-15 stock as well. Like the others said, just make sure you are legal, you cant have any other "evil" features since you have a detachable mag. If you want all the features, like ArmedBear said, go...

Saiga 12 or Remmy 870 for HD

Aaryq, not to throw a wrench in your plans, but I take it your state of residence is not CA and you will only be stationed here? If you are a CA resident you will be out of luck. I also would like to get a Saiga at some pint too just cause, but I think you would be much better off with the...

    45ACP 230gr Full power load

Cherryriver, I understand that if you ship powders you have to deal with the HAZMAT. Unfortunately, other than Unique, I am not sure if I will be able to find someone who sells bulk powder. I was hoping someone might know of a good website to order from, I would get a bunch and see if others...

    45ACP 230gr Full power load

Thanks for the additional inputs. Bullseye seemed to work well for me at 5.0 grns, but seemed to be more suited for lighter bullets and loads. I was also worried about having a double charge and not noticing it. It has never happened so far, but I don’t want to take the chance. I was...

    45ACP 230gr Full power load

Thanks for the replies so far. I have picked up some Hodgdon Universal Clays So I hope to load it up in the next couple of days and try it out with the AA. I haven't been able to finde Power Pistol yet here in San Diego. Will try SoCal Guns and Turners tonight when I go to the IDPA Qualifier...

    45ACP 230gr Full power load

Would you say Clays is better, worse or about the same compared to Unique. How dirty is it? I have herd some people complain that Unique is a little dirty but I haven’t had a problem so far. Obe One

    45ACP 230gr Full power load

I have been reloading 45 ACP for a while with Bullseye, but I want to find something that will work better with 230gr Bear Creek Mollys at the upper end. I have tried a couple of other powder so far. W231, Unique, Blue Dot, AA#5 and AA#7. Unfortunately I haven't gotten to shoot the AA...

    Scoped shotgun

I agree with Legionnaire. Get a cantilever mount with a rifled barrel. I have a 500 set up that way myself. Also remember though that you won't get much range with slugs, maybe 125 yds with everything set up right, so like others have said, what is good enough. Obe One

Are they making any more Scout Squads?

All the dealears I have talked to have said the same thing. Hven't seen any in a while, and when they do get them, they sell really quick.... like hours. I also want the scout more than the socom. Obe One

    10 mm a worthwhile buy?

I would say the 10mm is making a come back. It is my favorite pistol cartridge. I don't think it will ever be as big as some of the others, but it will diffidently not be dieing. You can find them now and not have to look too hard. Obe One

Are there any 870s that eject from the left side?

Deer Hunter They have made a left hand version, at least in the Wingmaster version, I have one. I would think they still do, and would guess that it would probably need to be ordered since I don’t really see them. Kind of like a LH bolt action rifle. Obe One

    .45 ACP Caliber Bear Ammo

I agree with the others if you insist on using a 1911, 10mm would be a better choice or 45 Super. From what I understand, the 460 Rowland that Doubleg mentiond has similar performance to a 44 mag. Of course, a handgun (except the 500 S&W) is not ideal for bear. Obe One
