Any Magnum Research BFR owners out there?

I was curious how the recoil of a BFR (chambered in 500 S&W) of the S&W 6.5" and 8 3/8" compares to the BFR 7.5" and 10". I'm aware of the porting on the S&W models, but I was wondering if it was just a small difference, or if it's big enough to make one gun enjoyable and the other not...

Am I wrong to be unhappy with MIM parts?

Is it bad that I thought "MIM" meant "Made in Mexico" for about two years. :(:D

Any Magnum Research BFR owners out there?

Just curious how they compare to S&W X-frames in a similar caliber (460 or 500).

Is the .480 Ruger dead or on life support?

I'm sure I'll take a LOT of heat for this, but oh well. Here goes. The 454 Casull is a complete "no way I'd own one" caliber to me. I'll never own one because of the "snap" of the recoil. It FEELS more fierce than a 500 or 460 WITHOUT the power behind either of those rounds. Regarding the...

    Is the Raging Judge back?

None of those links talk about the "Raging Judge 28". That is NOT the Raging Judge Magnum. Completely different gun.

    Is the Raging Judge back?

I couldn't find anything with that link. It just goes to the forum and nothing truly informative showed up when I searched for the Raging Judge 28.

Whats louder on average 357 magnum or 44 magnum

In my experience, 357 Magnum is the loudest handgun round as far as popular calibers go. Yes, a 460 S&W and 500 S&W might be louder, but I can't think of anything else that would top a 357 Magnum IMHO

    .357 Magnum Too Much Recoil?

Just keep an AK-47 or a 12 gauge for home defense (the former choice if over penetration is completely a non-issue). ;)

Pick a Revolver from TV or Movie

The 4" S&W 500 John Malkovich used in "Red".

What's your favorite grip for a full-sized revolver and why?

Hogue Monogrips (on my S&W 629-6). I'm a MASSIVE function over form guy. It's gotta feel perfect. Once that's established, you check your options from there.

So what's the general consensus on the FN Five-seveN?

I've read some pretty great things about the 5.7x28 round, and of course it's a big bonus that this gun can hold 20 to 30 (yes, they make an extended mag for it) + 1 rounds. However, there always seem to be people that compare it to a .22 Mag simply because of the bullet size. This is the gun...

I would LOVE to have a 686 someday. Such awesome guns. For now, I just enjoyed my 629. :)

I decided to buy a handgun that had no purpose than just to have fun shoooting it.

I really like how on that list "Zombie Attack gun" is WELL before "investment gun". LOL!!!

ruger gp 100 with 6 inch

It's a preference thing, but for me, I ALWAYS prefer "half-lug". "It looks cool to have a full lug though!". Nope. Function first. It's unnecessary weight. That outweighs everything to me. Also, I've found that on .357 and .44 Mags where I've shot both (classics and half-lugs), I'm more...

    .44 Mags

I got a brand new 629-6 for $549 (gun show in Pasadena, TX). I don't think that's overpriced. BTW, it's my favorite gun I've ever owned.

The Judge now The Circuit Judge

I got a chance to shoot my uncle's Judge Snubbie, and I wasn't expecting a lot. Surprisingly, it was fun to shoot! Only shot various 410 shells through it, but I thought it was nice. Loud thing though.
