    RIP RC Model sad news

Aw, man... I don't spend nearly as much time here as I once did and probably couldn't name more than 10 members or so, but rcmodel is definitely one of them. A fountain of knowledge and fine soul. He will be missed here and elsewhere. Rest in peace, brother.

Marlin xt-22 vr on the way

Those are excellent little rifles. One of the most accurate rimfires I've ever owned.

    Favorite 'Odd' Caliber

Hmm... Gotta go with the .30 Rem. AR. It never had a real chance at being successful, unfortunately, due to premature claims of velocity, boneheaded marketing decisions, and good ol' fashioned poor timing (overshadowed by .300 Blackout soon after it was finally ready for market.) It's not...

    Engraving SBR Lower...

I had mine laser engraved and it definitely cut through the anodize and into aluminum, over .003" deep. It did take multiple passes though. (Rofin laser marking system.)

3d Printed Guns No Longer a Concern

They just started working on that.

Do you still have your first gun?

Yessir! Still have my Topper (my first gun) with 20 gauge and .22 Hornet barrels.

    Remington moving to Huntsville AL

Oh, they're offering "something," but it's more insult than incentive. There's plenty of money being made, I assure you.

    Remington moving to Huntsville AL

They also sent the message that the bottom line will always trump taking care of the people that make you money.

    Remington moving to Huntsville AL

Then let me be the first to tell you... it's happening. ~60 employees in Elizabethtown, KY at Remington's standalone R&D facility were told yesterday that their jobs were moving to Huntsville and management "hoped all the employees would join them there." Get ready, Ilion.

Got Ammo Need Gun - 1911

I agree. I liked my R1 Stainless so much that I bought a second one.

So i was doing a little reccy at my secondary hunting spot, and saw this....

It wasn't that big when that rub was made about two or three years ago.

    Mark III or 22/45

The grip angle of the 22/45 fits me better, and the fatter Mark II 22/45 grips fit me better than the (early non-removeable grip) Mark III 22/45 did. (I prefer the Buckmark over either these days, but they're all fantastic .22 pistols.)

    Remington Express Rifle ammo issues

Unless those primers are below flush with the rest of the case head, it's not the ammo. Those are definitely light indents.

Will any upper work on a full auto M16 lower?

Test guns. Some of those being high round count guns with gas port erosion, other are... well... other stuff. You're correct about FTE's usually being extractor/ejector related, but that's a completely different failure from what I meant. It's very easy to see the difference on high speed...

Will any upper work on a full auto M16 lower?

Sorry, but that's not entirely correct. You can absolutely have a gun that's running too fast trap shells as they come off the shell deflector and bounce straight forward, never fully leaving the ejection port. I test guns for a living and see it all the time when rate of fire gets above...

Will any upper work on a full auto M16 lower?

Most any will work for at least one round - whether or not it will run in full auto? It depends... Some of your run-of-the-mill AR15's will run too fast and trap a shell between the ejection port and bolt. As mentioned above, an M16 carrier would be needed as well.

Just a note: The XM2010 and MSR are two entirely different rifles that use a similar Remington chassis system. http://www.remingtonmilitary.com/en/Firearms/Sniper%20Rifles/MSR.aspx http://www.remingtonmilitary.com/en/Firearms/Sniper%20Rifles/XM2010.aspx
