I've got a kimber and a Delta elite, but I really hate the old iron sights, it dosen't have a serial number on the barrell and I read where it was supposed to, I may just go with Old fuffs idea of fitting a new slide to keep it as complete and original as possible.

Thanks for the reply, I knew they weren't collectible, but looking at what I paid for it and seeing what the prices on gunbroker are, and it being an Aeronautica,I thought I might have missed something. I guess it's going to the smith for new sights.....thanks.

I have a Sistema Aeronautica in decent shape, I would like to put new sights on it but to do so would require smithing and may lessen the future value of the gun, can anyone see these prices going up any further? should I just leave it alone and enjoy it as is?

i have read somewhere that the green tritium last longer....something like 12 years. i have green on 3 guns right now and havent had any problems out of them, easy to pick up the target once your eyes have adjusted to darkness a few seconds.

i have an aeronautica sistema and have serial #'s on the slide and frame, but not on the barrel, it's blued but no serial on it, did all sistemas have a serial # on the barrel or might there be some that didnt have a # on the barrel?

you can try kramer leather, i'm selling one that is for 686 2" barrel. the order form asks what length barrel and has a spot for your comments.( where you can add 7 shot). i think a barrel up to 5 inches adds $10. at least on the scabbard.
