Minneapolis firefighter charged in man's death

Not suprisingly, I disagree. Judge dismissed charges WITH PREJUDICE, and the DA has "no comment"? The DA has no comment because he just got the judicial equivalent of a (word)-slap for wasting his time by persuing the case. Perhaps while you were highlighting in red, you missed this part...

Minneapolis firefighter charged in man's death

I did. The voicemail messages that everyone said would do him in weren't saved by the police force, and he insisted they were excuplpatory. The judge agreed. The case should never have gone that far.

New England Journal of Medicine at it Again!

Tim, health care is a commodity - not a right. You have no more right to get in my wallet to buy your health care than you do to buy beer, or lap dances, or whatever. Zero, zip, NONE.

To illustrate HOW wrong this is, try this version on for size: "At school, keep the fact that you are a Jew secret. Always." You don't keep rights by being secret about them.

    How long does ammo last?

It depends on the storage conditions. Cool and dry, without extreme changes in temp, is the best. Navy stored powder for the 16" guns on barges - the powder deteriorated an dbecame inconsistant - leading to accuracy problems with the reactivated battleships, and was one reason for their...

    Jennings J-22 Question

I realize this little pistol has both good and horribly bad reputations, but I have one that works quite well. I have two magazines and have barely shot it. If the blue part is true, then you can't possibly know the red part.

    1911 Slide Stop Handling

Oh, geez - not THIS again..... Way back in the day when the DCM was selling government surplus 1911s for 16 bucks a pop, Bullseye and other target guns were most frequently built up out of... used gov't surplus guns. Or Colt guns, which probably had leftover WWII internals for a good many...

Sportsmans Guide now identifying 5.56 vs. .223

...its my understanding that the possible problem is reloading a .223 load of powder into a used, and possibly worn-out, 5.56 case, seating the bullet out a little long for increased accuracy, in a .223 chamber throated on the short side of spec. Now you have 3 factors stacking up to increase...
