Losing brass what can I do

Not to be a wise guy here either, but revolver brass lands on the ground right where you dumped it doing the reload. Unless youre standing still and shooting in one spot, its not always in neat little piles in one place either. ;) The good part is, if you find one, there's likely 5-7+ more in...

Losing brass what can I do

Best thing Ive found to do, is simply walking a double grid until I find as many as I can. I know how many I fired, and try to recover that. Knowing the count helps a lot too. Most of the time, I usually do get most of it. Sometimes I come home with more, sometimes less. Tends to even out too...

    Polymer AR magazines

I think with any of them, you have to vet them in all your guns to be sure. I have a lot of PMags, and really like them, but they don't work in all my AR's. Both my Armalites balk at most of them, but work fine with any of the USGI, Korean, or other GI spec mags. Got burned a couple of times...

Contact range to 500 yards... 550 dollars

Most of my stock AR's seem to want to shoot pretty well, and about as mentioned above, 2" or so from prone at 100 yards with GI or run of the mill reloads that approximate them. This was shot with my generic reloads 55 gr. Hornady BTFMJ's over 748 running around 2700 fps, at 100 yards, off a...

Contact range to 500 yards... 550 dollars

2 moa is the max allowable spec. Doesnt mean you wont see better, and you often do. Realistically though, youre always at the mercy of the ammo and what it will do. Doesnt matter what your gun can do. My one AR will shoot bug holes with ammo it likes, and the next mag with GI in it, wont do...

Another one jumped in my lap

I just watched this Model 15 with some holster wear and slightly beat up grips go for a bit over $600 on GB. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/894720373

Contact range to 500 yards... 550 dollars

Its good that Ruger addressed the accuracy problems that the older Minis had, but Ive never understood that if they were going to try and miniaturize the M14, why they didn't copy the M14's sights and a couple of other things too. Their sights have always been crap. Back in the 80's there was...

Another one jumped in my lap

Most older S&W's these days are bringing good money. $500-600 is usually the lower end, and for guns that really arent in all that great shape. Around here, what the OP paid for what he got, would be a great deal.

Contact range to 500 yards... 550 dollars

Im pretty sure most GI 5.56 is loaded to a spec of around 2 moa. At least that's what I usually get on the "worst end" from prone with GI ammo at 100 yards. 2" +/-. Usually a little better than that though. Depending on the gun and with reloads it likes, it can be bug holes. And both of those...

They look like your average AR 100 yard groups to me.

How do I carry IWB comfortably?

I wear my normal sized pants, mostly Dickie and Carhartt carpenter type pants. I hear a lot of people say to "size up", but personally, I think that's a mistake. Unless youre not being honest with yourself as to what size you really wear, there should be enough give in the fabric that things...

How do I carry IWB comfortably?

I carry a Glock 17 AIWB and have never found it to be a problem or uncomfortable.

How do I carry IWB comfortably?

I didnt either, just said there are some who seem overly sensitive about some things. ;) We seem to have become a very sensitive culture in the 21st century, and it can be hard on us old people who grew up in different times, and seem to have a tougher skin. Must be what happens when you grew...

That would be the "oversensitive about some things" part. :)

    Braced Pistols??

And of course, that can happen at any moment or whim with them. But right now, that's literally an army they would have to deal with, and I think people are starting to finally get a little grumpy about all this silly BS. :)

    The SKS: Don’t Overlook It

A stock Russian, Chinese, etc. SKS probably would be OK in that definition above, but if you put one of the aftermarket stocks that seem to be so popular on it, or had one of the Yugo guns with a grenade launcher, etc, you might not make it. You also have to learn to read those requirements. I...

    Braced Pistols??

I have a Law Tactical folder on one of my guns. It works as advertised, "but", unless youre a lefty, if you value your teeth, be careful. The should have made it a right folder for us right handed shooters. That hinge will bob you right in the mouth if you shoulder the gun quickly and arent...

    The SKS: Don’t Overlook It

This is what people really need, to get to play with, and learn to use guns they arent familiar with and learn to use/work them as they were meant to be used. To many want to run everything like the one gun they are most familiar with, and that normally doesn't work out to well.

Hey, whatever. At least when it does happen, you wont be "as" surprised. :p

    The SKS: Don’t Overlook It

If a ban actually passes, I want the best gun Ive got, not the one that tries to appease someone. The point should be, don't cave to BS laws. Do what it takes to not let them happen and fight them as hard as you can go if they do.
