Form 1 and a self made AR lower...

It must be clearly visible on the lower. The engraving must be at least .003" deep, and 1/16 tall. No spaces, but you may use a dash. Must be at least one number in the S/N. You will also need your name, city, state, model, and caliber on it as well. You'll need all of this for the Form 1...

    AR-15 Lower with Customer-Supplied Material

Its not difficult to do, if you are already set up to do it. That being said, most 07 FFLs that are set up to do it, are so busy making their own that it really wouldn't be worth it to for yours in, unless you were paying a mint to have it done. Well heck, since Ranier does it, they must do it...

Best places for engraving trust name and town?

There is, however, specific language in the NFA handbook that you may wanna look at. It must be clearly visible. Regardless of how anyone marked the gun with anything before, I wouldnt try to get around that. Section 7.4 The identification of firearms. 7.4.2 Additional information. Certain...

Best places for engraving trust name and town?

On the Stoeger, you're gonna have to put it where it can be seen without breaking the gun down, or open. Glock sounds like a solid place. On the 870, why not on the bottom of the receiver, in front of the shell carrier? Right where Mossberg marks model number.. I am not sure if there are any...

    Buyers Beware

You didnt buy it from YHM, you bought it from silenceshop... They likely had to wait for YHM to make it, before it was in stock.. Last ones we got straight from YHM took over four months before they made them

    Buyers Beware

One more note, a lot of these companies don't even have the can when you order. A lot of times, its not even made yet. Yankee Hill is notorious for this. Place the order, wait a few months until they get to your order and make the can, wait for their Form 2 to come back from making the can, then...

Is it legal to modify your suppressors?

Haven't seen any cut in sales at all due to oil filters. They can't replace a quality can. There may be some looking into a modular system, but I can't see it as a viable production item. An already quality suppressor comes with a hefty price tag at times, and adding un needed options would just...

    pre 84 ar lower

Don't throw the Vet term out there to justify not understanding. Makes me puke in my mouth a bit every time someone does that....A lot of us are vets. And at age 50, you are likely a vet of the exact same engagements as most of us

    Dealer form 2 question

The gas port may need opened a bit. We did a few 10.5" ones that ran with no issues, but not every barrel maker drills the ports the same. Go slow and test it every time you open the port just a hair

    Links for belts

I'm interested in the M60 links. Also any 1919 .308 links, and 5.56 links. If you still have them when you see this, could you shoot me a PM with a price, and a rough guess as to how many you have? Thanks

    AR Pistol, Proto-SBR Legality Question

You are correct, you do not want to have a carbine buffer tube and an unmounted stock. Play it safe and use a pistol buffer tube. Will be easy to resell it later if you don't want a pistol buffer tube anymore once your stamp comes

Same here, Form 3s processed and items received in about 4 weeks. Yep, you're getting screwed

    SBR engraving....where to?

You're gonna have a tough time getting a laser engraver to go to legal depth. You'll need a CNC or pantograph, or something of the sort. Check out the NFA handbook for requirements, in the manufacturing section.

May have to give the NFA branch a call.

If your conversion works, then its no different than a classified machine gun conversion part. You dont have to have a lightning link in a gun to go down for it.... Same thing with a conversion. If it serves no other purpose than making it FA, you might as well have the whole gun....An 07/02 is...

    Notifiying ATF about Caliber changes?

1919s are not difficult to swap between 308 and 30-06. Definitely not permanent. Not sure about the other fibers, those are the only two I've had

    30 cal can on a 22

The YHM can is also not able to be disassembled to clean. One thing you really want, as already stated, when running .22.

How to legally get/make NFA weapons.

Nope, hasn't changed. Just another piece of paper to go with ffl. The stamps are for the other forms
