    Get out and compete!

A local indoor range has "IDPA" matches twice a month. I started attending early summer and have had a lot of fun and met some great people. They are not real rules conscious except for safety. Some nights we'll do concealed and some not. There's not a lot of structure as people come in late and...

Crimped bullet rotates in the case!

I separate out the Remington 38 special Brass and set them to the side when I'm loading Berry's. Then I come back with Missouri bullets and load them into the R&P brass and have not had any issues. This has worked well for me with little hassle and no resetting or changing out of the dies.

    32acp R-P help

I don't load 32 but had the same issue with 38. I set the RP brass to the side when I load berry bullets and once I have a good amount I load them up with Missouri bullets which are larger.

    40 s&w & aa#5

Thanks GS. I appreciate the feedback. With those charge weights I couldn't see how it would have been too hot of a load. Your low pressure scenario make sense. With primers being hard to read I wanted some input. Brass was ejecting nice out of a Stoeger Cougar. That gun always puts them in a...

    40 s&w & aa#5

I've loaded a few test rounds for 40 S&W with Berry's 165 FP at 6.6 and 6.8 with a 1.13 OAL. Western Powder lists Rainier RNFP 165's at 6.5 to 7.6 @ 1.125 OAL. So I should be at the very bottom for this load plus I'm a little longer in OAL. I'm concerned with the way the primers have a crater or...

Considering giving some kind of competition shooting a try

I went over to the local range one night and watched the IDPA match that was taking place. I'm very interested but have doubts about my skill level so I haven't pursued it as of yet. After looking at the range's upcoming events I see they have IDPA training classes. I'm not waiting any longer...

Going to buy xtreme, bullet choice help

Thanks gahunter - I've looked at my order on line and it says processing. I'm in no rush so if they take a little longer than normal it's not a problem. Good thought though that they are busy due to the shipping promo. I do like the hollow base Berry's. I hope these shoot well too.

Going to buy xtreme, bullet choice help

I just purchased 500 of each 9mm 124 RN HPCB, 38 125FP no Cannelure, & 10/40 165 RNFP from Xtreme - I usually reload Berry's but I'm going to give these a try. Ordered last Friday 5/2 and still waiting on shipping info. I'll finish up what Berry's I have as well as some MBC's and then workup...

    Light Load Powders

I maybe one of the few fans of AA#2 & #5 for 9mm on here but they are not only easy shooting but economical as well especially #2 - I use #5 for .40S&W

Bullet sinking when pushed with finger?!

I ran into this issue and realized it was only happening with R-P brass. I stopped reloading them and set them to the side. At the time I was loading Berry bullets. Bought some Missouri bullets and they work fine in the R-P brass. Frustrated me to no end till I realized it was the one head stamp...

    Accurate No. 2 load tips?

I think AA#2 in 9mm makes a nice target round. It has a light recoil. I've been loading Berry's 124 HBRN at 3.9gr and 4.0gr OAL at 1.13. My SR9 shoots them with no issues and I find the accuracy very good. The M&P 9 is still relatively new and they cycle that one fine now that is has a few...

    Berry 124 HBRN & AA#2

I've been loading 124 HBRN over 3.8gr of AA#2 @1.130 and like the accuracy. My question is Western Powders lists RN and HBFP in their latest guide as : RN 3.8 to 4.4 OAL 1.160 HBFP 3.3 to 4.1. OAL 1.060 Why the disparity? is it the hollow base or the profile. I'm good either way with the...

    Berry's 165 .40 HBFP-TP

I like the Berry's HB and have loaded a couple 1000 of the 155's in.40 S&W- I really like AA#2 under them and want to try #5 but haven't got to that yet - I just picked up some missouri 155's for the cost savings - I have loaded the 9mm 124gr HBRN-TP and pushed them pretty good with nice results...

Loading Missouri bullets for the 1st time

I loaded some HP-38 last night at 2 different charges both on the lower end - Not sure if I'll get to try them out this wk or not - Hope to get to the LGS and see what powders they have - Last time I was there they did have Win 231 which I'll grab if they have it -
