In 45 colt, using 7.5 gr Universal under 250 rnfp and 255 SWC and getting a fair amout of unburned powder when taking spent shells out. Looks a brownish color. To light a load, not heavy enough crimp, what migh be causing this? trikerider

Just loaded up some test loads with 7.4 and 7.9 gr under 255 gr MBC SWC for my 2 Blackhawks. This is a very nice metering powder. I was way off on my powder measure using Unique, but this Universal is great for loading. If it shoots as good as it meters, I may use it a lot. trikerider

What are the pressure levels for the medium frame vs large frame blackhawks? I see 14,000, 20,000 and upwards of 25,000 for the large frame. Where is the limit for the medium frame, 14,000 or 20,000? The older revolvers have 14,000 and newer ones have 20,000 limit? I have a new Lipseys flattop...

On way to great-grandsons 1st birthday we stopped at a few gun stores. Low and behold, found 1000 federal LP primers at one small out of way one and 600 federal LP match primers at another. Powder was not so good, but have enough of that hopefully. Now can reload a little more ammo. trikerider

Just how low and high can you go with Unique? Like loading down 38 special and loading up 357? I have bullseye, unique, w231, and titegroup, but I would guess that unique covers the widest range of loading for all the powders I have. Correct? trikerider Oops, typo on heading, sorry guys.

I am looking at buying some 158 gr. lead SWC or 148 gr. DEWC-BB from Missouri Bullet Co. Will be shooting light to medium target loads in both the 38 and 357. The SWC are brinell 12 and the DEWC are brinell 10. Can I shoot both in 38 and 357 without leading problem? Any pet loads for either...

Where can you buy or find the .10 spacers to fit under a set of 38 special dies to load up .357 loads without having to adjust them? I have looked locally for anything with that size opening and .10 thick, but no luck. Does someplace like Midway or wherever have them for sale? Thanks Trikerider
