I acquired a model 19-3. It came with overmolded aftermarket grips. I want to put some different grips on but neither of the grips I have tried want to fit correctly. I tried some S&W K frame round but grips but they don't fit. I bought some ahrends grips to put on there they don't fit either...
I originaly posted this in the auto forum.
I have changed mag springs and recoil spring recently now I get my fired brass either caught between the slide and barrel or the spent round wanting to chamber itself rear first. I looked at the clinic and did not find this one. 4" 1911 with wilson...

My S&W model 13-3 when firing remington value pack 125gr hollow points had some problems with the primer flowing back and tying up the pistol. Is this a pistol problem or ammo problem? Great pistol just don't have great confidence in it yet.

Ok I understand that handgun loadings have been neutered down over the years. Loadings now are actually less stout than years past for legal reasons.
Would say a Ranger +P+ 38 special today = say a standard 38 of the 1950's-60's?

I am looking for an air rifle for my father. He lives in a gun unfriendly place and needs to dispatch squirrels and such. He wants 1 pump and as many fps as possible. Any leads would be appreciated.

I have a STI Ranger(steel officers frame with a 4" barrel) new to me and fired little. On two mags, intermittently, my last round ends up with the nose up on the hood of the barrel and the rear down in the mag. Kind of up at an angle. Is this a weak mag spring? I looked at the clinic sticky but...
I carry a 1911 every day and have not worried about it at all. But my local guy that does my transfers says he does not feel safe that the gun could go off and hurt someone. My reply was the trigger has to be pulled the grip safety depressed and the safety off all together before the gun would...
I was going to put ivory grips on a officers model I carry but wonder about durability. I have ironwood grips on it now and they are not scarred or anything but I have no knowledge of ivory. Are they prone to cracking?

I have bought and sold quite a few guns on this an a few other forums without a problem... but I have a question. If you purchase a pistol and upon receipt notice significant problems and decide to pass. Upon whom should the original shipping fee lie?

I am looking at replacing the grips on my Colt Trooper .357. Are the frame sizes the same with the trooper and the mark III? I am looking at some grips for the trooper M III but I am afraid they wont fit.

Hi all,
I have been thinking on an STI Ranger I with the short grip frame. Anyone have any experience with these? Do they take standard officers mags?
Thanks,
Mike
I love 1911's. I am wrong handed though so that screws me up as most come with a single sided safety. I have a couple that I have had ambi safeties put on but that runs me around $100 a pistol. I have decided to try installing one myself on a Norinco. I can do a complete strip so how hard is it...
I got a LNIB ultra cdp for a new carry gun but it did not come with takedown instructions. Can anyone help? BTW I put 200 rounds thru her in the last 2 days no hickups yet. Shoots a little low with 230 ball and 230 rem hollowpoint value pack but thats no prob. I have wanted a little .45 for a...
Pointed end works great in tight places.
Blunt end works good for light scraping and patch pushing.
Maybe this has been covered before but I found it usefull this weekend.

I have a .308 Winchester stealth on the way and I am wondering about breaking in the barrel. I have heard you must do it. I have also heard just shoot the darn thing. To get the most accuracy out of the rifle, is barrel break in necessary? If so what is the correct way?
