whatever its model all the grip assemblies appear the same (the grips all hold down moving parts like the mag release spring and the disconnector spring and disconnector on the right side of the gun and the slide lock and the safety on the left). any buckmark owners experienced similar issues...

Checking there again (Browning) I'm thinking my model's more likely the Standard URX.

It's an oldie (1985) and its model isn't stamped on it. At the Browning site the one that best matches it is the UDX. (Blue steel and the squared off barrel).

Great question C-F and I only wish I knew the answer; bought this used with the custom grips already installed. Have just read elsewhere that some clip/jamming issues are related to the grips and how tight they are.

That age old prob of the rear sight base screw coming loose with almost every clip-load of shots fired through the pistol. And from what I've read even replacing those star washers doesn't necessarily do the trick so I'm thinking of loctiting that rear screw. Have read of others doing...
