    Simplicity and Old School designs.

Simplicity? Pull the side plate from a classic D frame Colt, and take a good, close look at that little bump on that long curved lever-like thing... Those old Colt revolvers have more in common with an AR-pattern rifle than they do with the M1 carbine in terms of simplicity.

I've long thought it a happy accident that 'rifle' and 'pistol' are such physically pleasurable words to pronounce. Which do you most enjoy pronouncing? I find that I have a mild preference for 'pistol'; they are both lovely... Forgive the misspelling please, it's 'pistol', not 'pustol' :-)

I am familiar with the convention; what do you purport to be its virtues? I reckon I'm unfamiliar with the situation -- in what respect did it not work well at all? It's not about need :D So, with your grip, your thumb is above the molded-in recess which Springfield provides for your thumb on...

My natural grip poises my thumb over, but not pressing upon, the magazine release button. Considerable force is ordinarily required to operate the release. Pushing upwards on the magazine relieves the resistance of the release to being pressed, and facilitates dropping the magazine, particularly...

Why should I oppose the '68 GCA?

Go on the offensive, and let the poor sot explain the applicability of the commerce clause... Then present the relevant contradictions. It is your opponent who must rationalize the infringement... The GCA is a house of cards.

    Blued vs. Stainless revolver values

"In general terms", and especially "in terms of collectibility", it is utterly irrelevant, unless you are comparing otherwise-identical firearms. It's like asking whether certain percentages of rag content are more desirable than others in philately...

    Need a car gun

Yes, it would seem that most contributors made this assumption; I find that very interesting. I have visited bicycling forums where it has routinely caused a stir when someone inquired about methods of carry when cycling. Whereas the cyclist didn't specify, she might very possibly be...
