    Loadmaster Issue (...yet another thread...)

I did deprime and prime on the turret, then load on the LM for a while, then just went to doing everything on the turret. Using both presses seemed to negate any advantage to having a progressive press. And I think that hardened pin is for Lee's sizing/decap dies. The pin for the Universal...

    Loadmaster Issue (...yet another thread...)

I used a Classic Turret for a couple of years before buying a Loadmaster about five years ago. I tried getting it to run reliably, but always fought jamming and priming issues, so I went back to the turret. I hadn't been shooting/loading much in the last couple of years, but have gotten back...

Where are Reloading Components Available. (Not a Discussion Thread, Link Required)

Got a notification from the shootingbot that Powder Valley has SPP in stock, but I can't get to their website; must be flooded. https://www.shootingbot.com/r/in_stock/4842/126/CCI--500-Small-Pistol-Primers--1000-ct--

Looked at a CZ 75 compact today

I've owned and carried my CZ75 Compact for over four years now, and really love the gun. I replaced the grips just because I can't resist a black steel gun with wood greips. The only con is I find the trigger reset to be a bit long; that was after sending the hammer with disconnector and strut...

    RIP RC Model sad news

RIP RC. I believe he epitomized what THR stands for. He will be greatly missed. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

Got "caught" checking only one mag

The bullet is an RMR RNFP 165gr. I loaded 10 each at 6.6, 7.0, and 7.4 gr of Power Pistol. As stated in the OP, I did plunk test to get to my length of 1.151", and checked them in one of two magazines. FWIW, I use Power Pistol in my 9mm loads (5.3gr under a 115gr X-treme RN plated bullet)...

Got "caught" checking only one mag

Well... color me embarrassed. It is right there in the manual; 1.135". I'll seat the next batch to that length, check everything, and I suspect I'll be good to go. And thanks kcofohio and leadchucker, for being "highroad" with your replies. This was a real oversight (to put it mildly) on...

Got "caught" checking only one mag

Well, I learned something new today, and thought it would be worth sharing. I recently purchased a new Beretta PX4 Compact in 40 S&W, a new caliber for me so I purchased dies and components. I set up my seating die by progressively seating deeper until the round passed the plunk test in the...

Power Pistol in 40 S&W Compressed?

bds, thanks for the great suggestions; this has helped a LOT. I haven't checked the max case fill as you describe here, but will definitely do that for this load. That will relieve all my concerns about a compressed load. As an aside, I don't post too often, but I learn something nearly...

Power Pistol in 40 S&W Compressed?

I'm planning on loading mid-range loads, using range brass. I do look over cases pretty well after tumbling, and again after priming. I'll settle on OAL by plunking the barrel (strange twist of words...), and expect to be slightly longer than what's in the manuals, but I don't know that yet...

Power Pistol in 40 S&W Compressed?

I just bought a px4 compact in 40s&w and plan to start loading for it. I have Power Pistol, and looking at my Lyamn's 49th for 155gr jacketed silvertip, 1.125" OAL says 7.0 starting and 7.8 max and no indication of a compressed load. The Alliant site for a 155gr Gold Dot shows 9.0gr max, but...

    Ruger SR-9c?

The magazine "disconnect" on the SR9C might be a misnomer. There is a firing pin block that is active without a magazine inserted. In fact, I believe that they recommend that the gun NOT be dry fired without a magazine, as it can tend to damage the block.

    Bring out the Bobtail 1911s

I replaced a Taurus 1911 with this Sig Fastback Carry 1911; much nicer gun I carry it in a Garret holster.

    Garand ejection question

SlamFire1, I appologize for my snarky, off-topic reply. It was very un-Highroad of me. I've never attended let alone taken part in an NRA highpower match. After your reply, I searched for pics of shooters in front of other shooters, but can't find anything. You don't have to school me in...

    Garand ejection question

If there were a shooter behind me at a match, his brass would be the least of my worries.

So, I got my hands on a Load Master

I "upgraded" from a Lee Classic Turret to a Loadmaster over a year ago. After watching many of the videos on mods, set-up, etc., I could never get the priming system to work reliably; about 3 to 10 flipped, sideways primers every 100. I tried the universal decapper in station 1 and sizing die...

    Show me your SAA clones

My first revolver I own five autoloaders, and never even used to consider a revolver. But, after I saw a few of the color case hardend guns, I had to have one. This is a Traditions (made by Pietta) in .45 colt. Just got it last week, and only shot 40 rounds so far, so I'm still getting userd...

    Aim Surplus 1903A3

Of course, right after I post, the email from Aim came in. they were drill rifles that had plugged barrels, and welded safeties. They plugged barrel was removed and weld was removed from the safety. The stocks are Boyd stocks and are really nice Bryan Aim

    Aim Surplus 1903A3

Thanks for the replies all. I've got an email into Aim asking if these were drill rifles, if the cutoff is functional, etc. But no reply yet. And I thought a 1903A3 would cost at least $1000; am I wrong on this?
