    anyone ever hear of "baiting"?

It's a good idea that works. A lot of intel goes into where to place these items. War isn't pretty. Fighting it with one hand tied behind your back is a good way to lose.

If you tried to used the Hi-Point to pull nails you'd just break off the rear sight.

Model 1 Sales, AR parts kits?

I tried to order from Model 1 once. When they couldn't talk me out of the parts I wanted (they were out of stock) the woman on the phone got an attitude, told me to call back in 6 months and hung up. My experience with Del-Ton makes me rate them pretty low in both quality and customer service. I...

    M4 type AR sighting

You have a standard ar-15 front sight assy on an m-4 style rifle. This is common with the kit companys out there. Bushmaster sells a taller front sight post for around $5. That is the cheapest way to fix the problem.

    Meet Joaquin Jackson

If a member of the NRA's BOD is no longer supporting the 2nd Amendment in it's original wording and intent then it is time for that idividual to leave. We cannot compromise on this. He obviously has. Call/email/write the NRA and complain. He needs to step down. Plain and simple. Couple his...

Try here: www.psc-range.com It's on the south end of Friendswood towards Alvin. The shotgun range is open to the public although you have a pay a couple of bucks more to use it than members do.

RCBS Decapping Die-What a crappy design!

Definitely go with the Lee universal decapping die. It's tough. I love RCBS and their warranty but I do agree that their decapping die design needs improvement.

The Greatest Action Movie EVER MADE Back In Print!

After years of gunboard hype I rented it. Bad acting, writing, and direction. It truly does have it all. Between that and MI2 I now avoid anything that Woo is involved in. Maybe the book is better.

New Range Setup: Is this normal?

Our club did this a few years ago. It was strictly due to noise complaints from the new neighbors. It is annoying and nobody likes it here either.

    Loose AR15 stock

It sounds like you need to buy the A2 stock spacer. They're about $2 the last time I checked.

Anyone ever firelap a new or used rifle?

I've used Tubb's system on an Colt HBAR and a Ruger M-77. It improved groups on both. I bought each rifle new. The Colt had ~300rds on it and the Ruger had ~250 rounds on it before firelapping. The barrel on the Colt is not chrome lined and the Ruger is stainless steel.

    30-06 AP loads for Garand

The 163g AP has much more bearing surface than the 150g. Whith that and the extra weight of the bullet pressure should rise quite a bit. None of us want to blow an op rod and none of us want to throw out perfectly good AP rounds even if all they're ever used for is paper and tree stumps. I've...

how much do you pay at your shooting range and are you a member?

www.psc-range.com It's in Friendswood. Our longest rifle range is only 300yds though. That American Shooting Center 600 yard range sounds very tempting. I may have to check that out.

    n00b

It's a pre-ban as it was built in the 70's. It doesn't have any ebr features though(flash suppressor, bayonet lug, detachable box magazine, etc) so it is ban compliant regardless. :neener:

Does the bayonet he's carrying acutally fit that rifle or is carried in place of a knife?

    Hot loading .22 cal.

"Ok, so tell me no one else did this when they were a kid. Pull the bullets from 3 .22LR cases. Dump all the powder into 1 case, and reseat the bullet.... Result: no "extra big" noise, no super-duper impact, and lousy accuracy ('cause you deformed the bullet, messin' with it.)" Do not...

    Armory SSR-85

I bought the same model a year ago. I put ~200rds through it without a problem the day i got it. They were all mixed mfgs (wolf, chinese surplus, and some surplus stuff I couldn't even read) and bullets types (sp, hp, fmj). Call them up and have it fixed. If you're in the Houston area they easy...
