    BC (Ballistic Coefficient?)

Simply put, ballistic coefficient (BC) is the ratio describing the ability of a bullet to make its way through the atomsphere. Here are some articles worth reading: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballistic_coefficient http://www.loadammo.com/Topics/September01.htm...

Do you think any rifle caliber introduced in the last 50 years has been necessary?

If for no other reason, but to encourgae innovation. Otherwise we would still be shooting muskets.

    .243 Bullet selection for deer

Have you considered a Remington Model 7 in .260? Assuming your wife is of about average female stature, she may find that rifle comfortable. Also, the .260 a bit flatter shooting than most bullets.

Heads-Up If You CCW in Ohio - Video Is Up!

Actually parking in a handicapped spot requires proper authorization. Absence of such creates a violation giving probable cause for the idiots to initiate a stop, but not to act as they did. It really does not matter if the car stopped if even for a moment. …or of solicitation...

Heads-Up If You CCW in Ohio - Video Is Up!

That be the one. Escapes me how much Rodeny King got from his 42 U.S.C. § 1983 action. The sad part is that the people of Canton will be paying the future judgement from their tax dollars.

Heads-Up If You CCW in Ohio - Video Is Up!

Sorry but I don't think for a moment the officer acted this way because failed to approach the driver first. I think the officer acted this way because he WRONGLY feels he is above the law and can do whatever he wants. I can only hope that he has spent his last moment ever in a LEO uniform.

Heads-Up If You CCW in Ohio - Video Is Up!

Disclaimer: I am a sworn Law Enforcement Officer. I am not saying definitively that the guy was picking up a hooker, far from it. That being said, I'm not saying he wasn't either. No one can watch this video and honestly say the driver wasn’t engaging in something questionable any more so...

Heads-Up If You CCW in Ohio - Video Is Up!

There's an old saying about not stirring anything if you don't want to smell anything. He was looking for a hooker and found himself in himself in a bad situation that just got worse. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Those being said, if you don’t want to have an encounter with a law enforcement...

@highlander 5 You are a bit far away, but if you ever want to come my way with some of your "pre-historic" firearms, I'll gladly buy the ammo that WE can both shoot in them.

    Safety Bullet

You think? :D Let me see, I'm awoken at 3:24 AM by my doberman licking my hand then running down the hallway barking and searching for something to lock his jaws into. I jump out of my bed, grab my Glock and head into the situation behind him. I see the bad guy raising his weapon at my...

An interesting article on the "90%" myth...

It’s a shame, but we really don’t have NEWS anymore. Back in the days of Walter Cronkite, a news man was just that, they reported the news. They didn’t make the news, they were not beholden to anyone, nor would they be caught dead making political contributions. They simply reported the...

Second amendment now requires cities and states to allow shooting ranges?

This ruling does not establish firing ranges as a corollary to the 2A for the jurisdiction of the 7th district, or any other jurisdiction. That is a separate legal issue in of itself. But, what I suspect will happen is that Chicagoland will attempt to regulate where ranges can be located. See...

Second amendment now requires cities and states to allow shooting ranges?

JellyJar, don’t bang your head too much. I see your point regarding the prohibition on the banning firing ranges. Yes, it does leave intact the city’s ability to ban ranges, but only under certain circumstances. :D

Second amendment now requires cities and states to allow shooting ranges?

I stand corrected, I was referring to the Heller decision when I made mention of Scalia.

Second amendment now requires cities and states to allow shooting ranges?

I think it took Justice Scalia about 30+ pages to say just that. :p
