According to my copy of the Sierra Infinity Suite, a 55 grain .223 bullet will be going approx. 900 Ft/Sec and carrying 100 Ft/Lbs of energy out at around 800 yards.

By all accounts, the vast majority of the field shooting .22 in the upcoming Olympics will be firing RWS R50/R100 or Eley Tenex.

Three of my nine are American (S&W, Remington, Mossberg), but like Shung above, I'm in Europe, so I consider that to be a pretty good effort. Just for the record, the others are Italian, Czech, German, and Finnish.
