I took my dremal tool and made the barrel free floating. I am going to try and do some shooting this afternoon. I will post pictures of the results.

Yes it is only visible on that one side, all of the others are smooth. I have filed it down, but the dollar bill stops about 4" from where the barrel meets the action.

I have filed it down, but it still hits the stock so far down. Does anyone know how far down the free float is supposed to go?

I am having some accuracy issues from my rifle. I am wondering if that little tab that is touching the barrel is enough to mess my accuracy up? I can stack 3 dollar bills together and the dollar bills always stop on that tab. ( even 1 dollar bill will stop on it )

I just purchased a 6.5 creedmoor in a tikka t3x lite. I was wondering if any one else had bought one. What kind of groups are you getting out of the box? What scope? What ammo? I will be doing a barrel break-in procedure, then determine how it shoots.

I have recently purchased some Nosler Ballistic Tip (varmint) 55 grain ammo. I read where someone recommended using 27 grains of H335 for a .223 loaf, but I don't want to push my luck. I am loading 25 grains currently. If it is safe to load 27 grains, what would you guys recommend my oal should be?

I will be going with the 135 grains, and it is the .270 Winchester.

I just inherited a K-31 Smidt rubin (7.5x55). I know nothing about this caliber. Can some tell me the distance that this caliber can shoot accurately and any additional info that any one has would be great.

I disassembled it and could find no twist rate stamped any where on barrel. I determined the 1 in 7 twist rate by running a tight fitted jag down the barrel. It turned one complete turn in 7 inches.

I have an AR-15, but it has a 16" barrel. Not sure if it would be to accurate at those distances.
