A Savage\Stevens walmart rifle semi auto in .22lr... don't get me wrong, me and that gun had some memories and i still have it... but its still a jam-o-matic.

What gun for a bug out bag? I'm putting together a bug out bag for the first time and i'm wondering what sort of guns yall would recommend for THAT PURPOSE ONLY. Will a pistol suffice or should i pack a survival rifle as well? Give me some ideas to steal! :evil:

nope. im either lucky or paranoid. probably both.

CCI Quick Shok works best on my squirrel infestation. but i prefer Winchester 555 bulk ammo for two reasons. 1- its cheaper. 2-it works

+1 on that. Federal bulk ammo is just as bad as that golden bullet JUNK.

If there is no reason to believe its bad, load one round and see how it shoots.

That happened to my rossi 357 a couple months back. the bullet wedged itself between the cylinder and barrel, jamming the gun:( . The only time fixing one of my firearms involved a big <non THR language removed> hammer!

Maybe have a gun you already have engraved with a r.i.p. or in memory of???

For about $1.50 less I buy Winchester 555 rounds a box. fewer duds than golden bullet and a little more umph. And u get 55 MORE rounds vs. golden bullets 500. Did i mention its cheaper? Seriously though, i wouldnt feed remingtons into any semi auto. they are the ONLY ammo my 10/22 doesn't like....

I think i may have a problem... as a result of this thread i've bought a Makarov, a CZ-52 (with 9mm conversion!), and a shiny new hi-power..... and now im broke:( you might be a gun nut if.........
