Looking for a concealed carry pistol.

XD - no second strike, and not in 45 within those dimensions. Also, it is not truly DA. It is a precocked striker config (basically single action on the inside, as pulling the trigger only performs one function - not two like in a glock). If it were truly DA you could keep pulling that...

Taurus PT145 (Mil. Pro) goes to the range . . .

My PT145 was right on the money out to 25 yds or so. I wish they had a dovetailed front tie, but they do not. My FS came loose as well. had to put locktite on it once a yr os so. Other than that...no probs.

    Kimber BP ten 2

Interesting info Wally. I'm watching this thread with interest. I am looking to buy a Pro BP Ten II again. Sold one I had a few yrs ago, but now I miss it. The mags were the achilles heel of the platform IMHO. I'm actually gonna sell my XD 45 to get the Kimber, I miss it that much...

Glock 21 or XD 45 or HK USP 45

The XD 45 rocks. I have the 4" Service. I've owned two Glock 21's in the past. I'll never go back to Glock.

    considering a Glock 21

They are a nice firearm. I have owned two G21's at different times. Probably one the the softest shooting 45's you'll ever fire. The grips are BIG, no doubt so be aware of that. Not sure what you intend to use it for (home defense, sporting, concealed carry, all of these...) but it has a lot...

    millenium vs millenium pro

+1 My Taurus Mill Pro has been awesome. It's a solid performer. Yes, its a long DAO pull, but mine is smooth. I don't mind that on a CCW pistol. Second strike capability is nice too. Mine is the newer one with the rail.

    Seeking info on Taurus pt145

Do NOT buy the non pro version. I have the new PT145, it has frame rails. Can't say anough good things about it. I carry it daily, as my CCW. That should say enough. Great, powerful little pistol. Accurate, and easy to shoot.

    best 45 for concealed carry?

Another vote for the Taurus PT145 Mill-Pro. I disagree that is G36 size. Its smaller than that IMHO. I carried a G27 for over 6 months, and the Taurus feels the same if not slightly smaller. The grip is taller, but I was using a Pearce +1 extender on the G27 so its a wash.

Rumored introductions at 2005 SHOT Show

Preacherman - Drool no more. The new Taurus PT145 is smaller than the G27 (shorter length, slightly thinner) and is 10+1 of 45ACP. Had mine a while now, over 1000 rds - flawless. :)

    How about a Taurus forum??

I have a new PT145 Millenium Pro. I think it rocks. I've put over a thousand rounds thru it the first week I owned it. Flawless operation. Easy as a G27 to conceal, and 10+1 .45ACP. Taurus finally got it right.
