    intratec protec extractor

Pro-tec Welcome, Mike. I have a Pro-tec 25. I was looking at the parts break down tonight and just discovered that Intratec made it in .22 also. According to the parts list, they both use the same extractor. Try Lee's Gun Parts in Irving TX 972-790-0773(open T-W-T 9-5). Best of luck, they...

    Sometimes old is better.

22LR, I would not shoot hi-brass/heavy loads thru the Mossberg bolt shotguns. The only lock up is the root of the bolt handle. Check yours for cracks before shooting it much. IIRC, Mossberg did a buy back of their bolt shotguns a few years ago. They are fun though, I've had several of the...

    IPSC (very) basic question

Niner4tango, I started shooting IPSC in April 1987. I gave up motocross,1/4 mile drag racing and golf. I still shoot IPSC. I told my girlfriend that I WILL shoot at least once a month, deal with it. IPSC is an adrenalin rush, try it

is an SKS really just an SKS?

I don't care if Joseph Stalin himself owned that thing, NO SKS is worth THAT kind of money

Stupid question of the week: stolen guns?

Yeah, thats hilarious Fiero :barf: . Guns DO get lost. In my case, I was traveling, in my GF's car, pistol in the door map pocket. Traveled from Covington,VA to Memphis,TN. Made 4 stops in route. Somewhere along the way, the bottom of the map pocket came loose and the pistol fell out in a...

Stupid question of the week: stolen guns?

Lost/stolen guns are listed on the NCIC data base. If anybody is offered a KelTec P-32(ser. 37811) in Virginia or Tennessee, it's mine, I want it back. Maybe we should have a stolen/lost thread on this website :scrutiny:

Wanting to throw away a pistol

As has been discussed on this forum before, there is ALWAYS someone who wants/needs parts for a firearm that others consider a POS. Numrich Gun Parts Corp. is a major purchaser of gun parts, sell it to them or Bob's Gun Parts or any of the gun parts sellers. Please don't just throw perfectly...

    CZ/ Huglu Woodcock 410

Me too. 28ga or 20ga field loads. I shoot a .410, but I have been shooting shotguns for 50 years. It ain't easy, but I love a challenge.

    Mod. 60 shoots left

I have 3 Marlin Mod-60's. 2 are early 70's and 1 is an '05(2005). All have dove tail rear sights. Make sure the barrel crown isn't dinged. A small deformation of the crown(muzzle) will move point of impact. To move the point of impact RIGHT, move the REAR sight RIGHT.

    Which Rifle--1903, or M1 Carbine?

    The horror. The horror.

    Which Rifle--1903, or M1 Carbine?

I guess we have a consensus, then. The '03 is the most fun.....unless you are a carbine fan :D :D :D

    Which Rifle--1903, or M1 Carbine?

ever shot an M-1 Garand Yeah, but a 9.5 pound rifle isn't fun to shoot for very long unless you are shooting from a rest.

    Which Rifle--1903, or M1 Carbine?

'03 = .30-06/lo cap/bolt action = NOT fun for most non(i.e., recoil sensitive)-shooters M1 carbine = low recoil/semi-auto/hi cap = FUN! Don't get me wrong, the '03, in all it's variations is one fine rifle, but I have not shot one .30-06 that was FUN to shoot. I admit it, I am a recoil puss...

Best way to clear gun cleaning odors in a confined Apartment?

If your S/O doesn't like the smell of Hoppe's, what ever you do, DO NOT!!!!! use it (or WD-40) when the clothes dryer is running

    slide release question

True, Matt, but it is easier for me to release the bolt on a Mossberg when not in the "engagement" position(or "in the position" for that mater). Unless one can come up with a statement from the manufacturer as to "why", then it's all just speculation. Could be design patent, manufacturing...

    CSI Miami Pistol Stance

Has anybody noticed that Ho' never has any physical contact with the BG's? My main complaint, though, is the TOTAL lack of reality when refering to firearms/ballistics/etc. I understand that it's just a TV series, but c'mon, some of us have real life firearm experience.

    slide release question

Gotta agree with you. Mossberg bolt release position make a lot more sense.

    Mossberg 185KC

If you buy the Mosin, you have the same problem, left handed shooter/right handed B/A firearm. If you don't want the Mossberg, get rid of it and get the Mosin, but like I said, you'll still have the same righty/lefty problem. My suggestion is to buy a bottom eject shotgun, maybe an Ithaca?
