What do you like and hate about your Kahr?

About 6-7 years ago I bought a PM9. Have tried several holsters and am now using a kydex IWB that I had made. Likes: very dependable, flatter than a j-frame, ammo is cheap. Dislikes: kind of expensive. Hates: none

    1911 brand?

My first 1911 was a Charles Daly, which ran as good as any AFTER the first 200 rounds. Since then I've had a Clark Custom Colt, 3 Springfields and a Para. Now it's the Para GI Expert and a Springer SS Loaded in 9mm. All have been a tribute to JMB, God's gift to the gun world.

    Smith and Wesson model 586

My 586 is definitely "finish challenged", coming from a LEO. But it's a great shooter.

    "Heavy" .250 Savage

Ruger M77 in 250 Savage can be found. Twist= 1-10" should handle heavier bullets. I recently traded for a RSI in that round but haven't checked out 120 grs yet. Seem to remember Savage is going to chamber a model of their bolt gun in that cartridge.

Your favorite milsurp rifle to shoot?

Germster, you've had some beauties through the years! Recently, I found a '96 Swede from 1916. Yesterday I picked up a set of dies and a box of 140 grs to go with it. Fun times.

Yeh, I like the 13 oz size, although the bigger ones are good for storing 223 cases. Seem to collect more of them than anything else.

    Ruger #1 Opinions and Thoughts?

Back in the fall I traded for a no 1 in 22-250. Installed an old Burris 6-18 Fullfield on it. Best 5 shots into just under an inch. It may never do any better. I don't care. It's beautiful.

You may save yourself a big hassle by looking at your deed restrictions and not rely on what the HOA tells you. If it's not in writing, don't believe it.

What's the weirdest gun(s) you've ever actually held in your hands?

A friend of mine had a Remington-Keene chambered in 45-70. It is a bolt action with a manual hammer, manufactured in the 1880's. Around 5,000 were made, IIRC. Most were used up in the Indian wars. He told me I'd probably never see another, let alone have the opportunity to shoot one. So I...

    Firearms and the South

Are there any anti-gun cities in the South that remotely resemble cities like New York or Chicago? Can't say for sure. I try to avoid them. Being a child of the so-called "Great Depression", firearms had a different meaning. Besides defending farm and family, guns were a subsistence...
