I was checking out e-bay and cane across this punch system that makes gas checks from alunimum sheeting(flashing). I checked you-tube and there vedio feed on them but have come to appreciate the imput of you all on matters like these. Gas checks out of alunimum, is that even good for the bore...

Loading slugs Anyone loaded slugs and buckshot with these, I know you cant use the shot feed and have to load by hand at this operation, but what about the crimped shell will it cause any problems with a slug???

Here in the desert southwest and California I am able to hunt coyote all year long new to loading the 30-06 to small grain bullets any suggestions. I have shot a coyote with a 175 gr. JHPBT and it was not a good photo op after. Looking in the 110-130 grain range.

Irish Bird Dog said it all, I would have purchaased a Judge, and it's companion Rifle long ago if they werent out lawed in California.. I think this is what you want, I have read on both and they have all recieved good reviews.. If legal where you live go for it.

I have experianced this with Blaser ammo and a few other manufactures, and I hve even hand loaded a few my self, dont get distracted keep the wife away while loading, but as far as manufactured ammo it does happen but not very often..

No the Best but if the price is right Ok ammo not too consistant with loads or crimp, felt recoil may be different from shot to shot, I would compare to American Eagle, or Blaser ammo fun to shoot cheap and messy to clean up after, but if your after the brass its usually a deal.

My ideal line up is the 45-70, 30-06, 308, 12 guage fixed modified, 12 guage rifled slug, 410/45 long colt, and the .357 magnum, 50 cal. black powder and maybe the 223. So far I have the 45-70 on an Sb2 reciever, and the 12 guage fixed/modified, and .357 on the SB1reciever I have a long way...

Yup! you can add any shotgun except 10 guage, slug barrels, 410/45 long colt, and the 357 magnum. This is a real space saver in the old gun safe.

What about a mixed load BP and Smokeless as a primer. I was thinking I could put about 5 grains of Smokeless under a wad of nitrate paper, and the black powder charge over that, any opinions on this welcome.

I was reading about the mercury tubes, mostly used in shotguns to tame recoil, I had a brain storm what abou using it in my 45-70 to tame the thump, any suggestions welcome. I like to load heavy metal 450 grains mostly cast lead and they can punish my shoulder found one for sale 5 inches long...
