Thanks. That gives validity to the 9 grains. Will shoot some and let you guys know. Shooting out of a single shot and a JM marlin. (also a newer marlin I may try before I damage my JM :-))
Ok, I know this has been covered... I have some berry's bullets in 30-30 that cannot go above 1700FPS...I have read that 13 grain is safe. I have also read that 9 grains works great. My question is what is the COL you guys were using? Just stay below min and not hit max? I was just concerned...
It is a vicious, cyclic chain where people are buying to hoard thinking it is not going to be available. It is getting ridiculous. When the ammo comes back in supply, which it will, the people who paid hundreds for bricks of 22 will be embarrassed.
I think the ammo will come back in 3-6 months. It put a hurt on the suppliers when all of their supply was exhausted. It will take some time to ramp back up, but hopefully this idiotic frenzy will subside. I fear that prices may never be the same though.
30-30
I would say a 30-30. You can kill anything with 2 legs and most with 4 and ammo is readily available. I think the 30-30 round is one of the best of all time. Some will disagree, but something cool about a lever action in 30-30.
Aimpoint
Aimpoint pro is a great value. comes with nice mount and battery life is awesome.
you can get them at Gt distributors now for 400. I would buy one soon if I were you.

yes, only bad guys use guns and limiting magazine capacity will make them obey.
"2. I fully acknowledge that limiting gun magazines will not have any effect whatsoever on gun crimes in general. My reason for limiting them is specific to mass shootings. "
Sounds like you went to the Dianne...
Wideners had some in stock
Wideners had some in stock, but that only laster a day. I got a 1000 round case of Magtech M80 for 599.00. Not great, but not price gauged like some areas. I am reloading from now on for 308.
Now trying to find bullets. I figure stocks will be back up by Feb-Mar
