H4350 Comments
Much appreciated comments from both of you. I'll try another H4350 load by increasing a grain or two and see how it performs. H4350 produced a good tight group when I shot a 120 grain Nosler BT. So once again thank you.
I was on the range yesterday developing a load for my 7X57mm TC Encore. I was shooting at 100 yards, the temperature was 70 degrees and sunny. These are the loads I shot yesterday. 150 grain Nosler BT, RP brass, Fed 210M primer. total COL is 3.00. The first load was with 46 grains of W760 which...
I would welcome some recommendations on a load for a 45 Long Colt. I want to get 900 fps using a 250 Hornady XTP. I have W231 but have found no data that reaches 900 fps. I also have W296 which in the 4th edition of the Hornady Reloading Manual lists 16.1 grains of W296 at 900 fps and is a max...
I thought I would pass along the following load data in case anyone is interested. I loaded 6.5 grains of Win 231 behind a 200 grain Hornady XTP and shot this load from a Sig P220. This is a very accurate load with mild recoil. I also shot this same load with Berrys 200 grain plated HP with the...
I am seeking information on load data for the 200 grain XTP using WW231. I have not seen the data but have been told the 11th edition of Hornady's manual lists 6.8 grains as the maximum. I would appreciate any info on this or any other reliable source load data using WW231 above 6.0 grains.
While shooting the other day I had fired around 150 rounds of TZZ 230 ball. Occassionally I would feel the slide sort of pause and then move forward in sort of a sling shot motion, this continued on and off for the next 50 rounds. Prior to shooting the pistol a 1911A1 Springfield was clean and...
First Reloading Press
We bought a RCBS Rockchucker from Barry Trew's Gun Shop Bentleyville,Pa in Sep 1975. We are still using it and have never had any problems with the press.
I'm looking for your input on a mild/tolerable recoil .38 Special Load. Hornady's 2012 product catalog states the impact performance of their 125 and 140 grain XTP ranges from 800 -1600 fps, 158 grain from 800 -1400 fps.
I would appreciate any load suggestions that fall within the 800 -900...
Does anyone have the load data from this article?
"The Middle Ground, .45 ACP 200-Grain Performance Loads" by Brian Pearce.
FEB 2010 issue of Handloader Ammunition Reloading Journal, or just Handloader Magazine.
The following varmit load has worked quite well for me over the years.
Winchester Case
Federal 210M primer
H-4895, 40 grains
Nosler 70 grain BT
Velocity 3350 out of a Remington 700 with a 24" barrel
Very accurate load with no high pressure signs. a dime covered the 4 round group @ 100...
I'm asking if anyone has encountered problems with the Chip McCormick Shooting Star magazine? My brother ordered two and neither one would lock the slide open after the last round was fired. This malfunction happened in three different pistols, a Colt Commander,Remington 1911 and a Taurus PT...
I am considering buying a Chrony Beta Master. I would appreciate any input you may have concerning this item. Optic Planet has it for $133. and free UPS shipping.
I am considering a set of Lee Dies for a .44 Mag, I am not using a Progressive Press. What thoughts and opinions are out there on 3 die or 4 die set? The difference in price seems to be around $15. Cartridges will be reloaded for use in a Marlin 1894. I would appreciate your input.
A relative of mine has inherited an old Winchester 1894 with a octagon barrel, cresent steel butt plate, and chambered in .32 Special. The serial # is714XXX. The rifle is clean and in very good shape. Please give me thoughts on the value of this rifle. I do not have a photo or I would attach it...
I want to pass this information along and the associated cost savings. I purchased a set of TruGlo Tritium/Fiber Optic sights for my Glock 22C, the rear sight is yellow and the front is green. Listed below are various dealers and their price for this set of sights. I spoke to three of those...
