I should get the stamp for my Octane 45 in FDE in a couple more months, well 3-4 really. I was going to go with the Osprey, but about the time I was purchasing they released the Octane in FDE and the host is a sig scorpion 1911. gotta match your accessories!
I'll probably still get an...
I'll find out soon enough as I just got my first stamp back. One of the ranges I go to has a sign posted that says suppressors are fine to use as long as you have your stamp (or copy) with you.
Not sure if that means they will ask for it when I pull the suppressor out to use or not.
I find it disappointing how little news play this is getting. Seems like a big deal to me and boy howdy, did all the gun control stuff get play all over the place. But it's been darn hard to find much coverage on various CA news sites or the national news sites.
all I want for Christmas is the tax stamp for a 22 can. ETA was early Feb, hoping Santa can pull it out of his bag a little early for me.
Otherwise I need some new hunting clothes.
Oops. bit of a damn if you do, damned if you don't possibility here.

people who are required by law to turn in their guns sometimes can't because no one will accept them. Sheriffs and people against...
damn! up to 15 months now? Maybe I should call and see when my first form 4 is expected, was Feb (which would be about 9 months) when I called back in Aug. Wonder if it's been pushed back.
But worse hearing the 15 months is I have an Octane which hasn't gone pending yet (check cashed in mid...
and article this morning from the Daily Camera in Boulder. Supposedly still moving, just lots of things to work out.

personally, I'm a little skeptical given the lack of news, one would think...
my last form 4 was sent in early to mud Aug, check was cashed late last week. a good month+ to cash the check, ouch! Considering the last once earlier this ear was a couple weeks. So maybe I get the stamp next Sept. that'll make it a 16 month process for this one counting the order time and...
For my 22 thunderbeast, it took about 10 weeks from the checking being dropped in the mail to going pending, it was 8 weeks from check cash to pending.
Should get approval by the end of Feb so I'm looking at between 10-11 months total for that one.
I recently purchased a 45 octane FDE, the...
The policy will not be going into effect. Turns out the property was bought with the help of county and federal tax dollars. As a result the county stepped in and said the property management company can not implement the policy.
Probably more to come here, but at least for now folks can...
I called the ATF about a week ago to check on my form 4. I called a couple days shy of 8 weeks (didn't tell the lady when I sent my forms in) and she said it was taking 8 weeks at least for things to go pending. Haven't called back to check the status yet.
They really need an online tool to...
I believe the long waits. I called the ATF yesterday to check on my first transfer. I'm right at 8 weeks since my check was cashed and no info yet. The lady said it's taking at least 8 weeks to go pending. ouch.
Got a form 3 going to transfer another can to my dealer, wonder how long...
Seems to me the 39% drop can't (yeah, except by politicians who don't care about facts) to the AWB since most violence involving a gun doesn't involve weapons banned by the AWB.
Please correct me if I'm wrong on that, especially since I'm being lazy and not looking for the stats.
Bummer. These case, or one just like it will get heard eventually, I hope it happens before new justices are appointed to the courts.
Regardless of the 2A, etc I think we have plenty of reason, proper cause, substantial reason to carry because we're the only ones who can be counted on to...
Charger, I was in the same boat, bought the 22L-1 just because it was in stock at a local store and I wanted to get the process going. Next up on my list is a TBAC 223P-1 (for the AR I don't have yet) and then an Octane 45 in FDE. Then I can think about a Spectre for a second 22 can.
Nice write up. I'm waiting for the stamp on a Thunder Beast 22 suppressor that was an impulse pickup (if there is such a think when you have a 6 month wait). Eying the spectre for a second 22 suppressor.
not sure of any state having tried it, but the law suits challenging the legality and constitutionality are certainly being worked on here in CO. I think the mag limits will be first up and probably the most important one.
keep in mind real time isn't always real time. Emails can take time to get sent through systems and once received by your providers system there can be a delay in it actually hitting your inbox.
Large mailings can take hours to send out for a variety of reasons.
another craptastic bill. to be fully enforcable they'll need a registry, seems way too easy to get someone listed on prohibited list and by people who won't be qualified to make such a determination. I see it leading to confiscations as wl
And it certainly will get people thinking twice...
It's no surprise and I hope these work out in our favor. Folks in CO are preparing lawsuits to challenge the recently signed gun control laws.
