How do I sell a gun on gunbroker?

Is there special paperwork I need to get from the buyer? Do I need to keep records of the sale? Are there special considerations for shipping? I've read GB's information on this, but I'm interested in hearing from some folks that have real world experience selling things on the site.

Trump: Take Guns Before Due Process

Well, yeah! If a Democrat said something like that, the gun crowd would fly their "Don't tread on me" flags and go armed and barricaded. But unfortunately, many of them are so brainwashed that if a GOP president walked off the edge of a cliff, they'd gladly follow.

Does anyone know how to get their Lock n Load AP to stop doing this?

Cam wire bracket is on nice and tight. The primer system is working smoothly, there are no hangups or anything. The normal amount of force is causing the wire to breakaway constantly.

Does anyone know how to get their Lock n Load AP to stop doing this?

The primer feed cam wire keeps coming out of the lower socket. I'm not sure how its supposed to stay in there in the first place. The socket is spring loaded, but the bottom of the cam wire is rounded and its constantly slipping out for me. Does anyone know how to keep the wire in place?

    Marlin 1894 bore too big

I have a Marlin 1894 in .44 mag that is very inaccurate with lead bullets unless they're sized at .433". As this makes my bullet selection very limited (only one supplier, Dardas Cast Bullets, will make .433's), I'm wondering if its possible to reduce the bore diameter of this rifle. Can 1894's...

    M1 Garand brass life question

I've read that M1s and M1As have very quick operation for a semi auto rifle, and that the bolt is moving reward and extracting the spent case before it has "rebounded" from its full expansion after firing. This means the bolt is actually pulling or yanking on brass that isn't ready to come free...

    M1 Garand brass life question

I've read that the Garand action is particularly hard on brass, and one shouldn't reload a case more than 4 times for an M1, M1A, etc... Is this still the case if you're running an adjustable gas plug? I got me a Schuster for my M1, and I have it dialed in to *barely* function the...

M1 Garand + Schuster gas plug questions

I don't mean "hotter than recommended". The M1's gas system is such that it likes a fairly narrow range of burn rates. Varget, one of my favorite powders, is outside this range. Would I be able to safely shoot Varget loads (I always load near minimums, especially for older firearms) if I run...

M1 Garand + Schuster gas plug questions

Schuster's directions say the thing is shipped fully "open", meaning the autoloading mechanism will not work. One is to gradually tighten the adjusting screw until your rifle is functioning correctly. When the plug is wide open, is the rifle effectively a single shot, bolt action rifle? The...

    Marlin 1894 accuracy woes

Update Ok. I was able to find someone (www.dardascastbullets.com) that offers a good deal of custom sizing options, and it turns out my Marlin seems to like .433. I am now getting good accuracy out of it and I now consider the gun to be a permanent member of the collection. Glad that's all...

How are Henry Big Boys with lead reloads?

Well, you can read all about my experience with the Marlin in my other thread, http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=791501. So the general consensus here is that pistol caliber'd lever actions are inherently inaccurate? Why would this be?

    Marlin 1894 accuracy woes

In post #23 I attached a pic of both remington's proof target and a group I shot from a rest at 35 yards with factory 240 JHPs. My group is ~3" at that distance. I can shoot better groups with my Walther PPK than my Marlin. There is no way this is normal.

How are Henry Big Boys with lead reloads?

Well, I sent the Marlin back to the factory. They indexed the barrel and sent me a test group fired from 50 yards. In the attached photo, I've placed their target on top of my target. I shot mine with factory 240 JHPs from a rest at 35 yards. I'm not happy with the accuracy, even what...

    Marlin 1894 accuracy woes

Ok, I ordered me a Redding profile crimp die (roll crimp, no sizing like the Lee die) and I found a bullet mfg (https://www.dardascastbullets.com) that offers lots of different sizing options. When these things arrive, I'll make myself some .432's and .433's with the Redding and holler back...

How are Henry Big Boys with lead reloads?

I've seen Marlins with the word "microgroove" written on the barrel. Mine does not. Also, I've heard that they recently switched from microgroove to Ballard, and mine is a 2014 model. I believe mine is Ballard, but I'm not sure.

    Marlin 1894 accuracy woes

Agreed. Note Remington's group on the target they sent me. Its 2.5" from 50 yards. I don't see how they can feel that's acceptable. According to Remington, my 1894 is a 2014 model.

How are Henry Big Boys with lead reloads?

Marlin 1894s have all sorts of issues with rifling, bore size, quality, etc... and it seems lots of people (myself included) have had problems getting them to shoot lead reloads accurately. How are Henry Big Boys? I'm thinking of trading my 1894 for a Henry, but I want to make sure I'm...

    Marlin 1894 accuracy woes

Update Ok, so I sent the Marlin back to the mothership. Remington's customer service is very good. When they finally answer the phone, they send you a link that will schedule UPS to come retrieve the gun from you. Very nice. And, they have an online "check the status of your repair" thing...

    Marlin 1894 accuracy woes

Ok, so I tried some Nosler 240 grain JHPs and then I had Missouri Bullet size me up some 240 TCs to .431", and I get the same, shotgun groups as before. 35 yards from a bench, I'm getting maybe 18" groups no matter what I shoot through it. I think its time this thing went back to Marlin.

    Marlin 1894 accuracy woes

I'm using 12.8 grains of 800x. I'm getting ~1500 fps with this round in this gun. The other thing I'm doing is using a Lee Factory Carbide Crimp Die. This die includes a final sizing ring that is squeezing my bullets to .429". It sounds like I need to: A) try some jacketed, factory...
