    147gr. 9mm ammo

147gr has the same pressure (35,000 psi) as both 124gr and 115gr, so you have nothing to worry about there. You'll have to consult the owner's manual to find if your gun can shoot +P and/or +P+. Hope that helps.

Fervently anti gun parents - what to do?

It's a concealed carry permit for a reason... You conceal the weapons!

H&K Tactical .40: How well does it reduce recoil?

I don't have experience with the USP Tactical series, but I have handled the P30 .40 S&W on multiple occasions and have compared it to the M&P 40. I can say with certainty that the P30 is a bit milder than the M&P 40 which is widely considered to be milder than the G22. I hope this helps...

    Geco Amunition in Beretta M9

Just an FYI: Standard 9mm Pressure = 35,000 psi 9mm NATO Pressure = 36,500 psi 9mm +P Pressure = 38,000 psi 9mm NATO ammo has only 4.2% more pressure, so the felt increase in recoil is slight, when compared to the 10% increase from standard to +P. Hell, I can barely tell the difference...

Have You Ever Questioned Your Carry Gun...

I questioned my first carry gun, which was an XD45c, due to rain. The "grip" on XDs is lacking something called "grip!" I realized if my hands were wet, my follow up shots would be very difficult as my hands would likely slip a good deal after each shot, and getting a good grip would be...

    9mm vs 40

This. ^^ P.S. Your energy calculations are way too high on the .223. A 5.56 NATO (more energy and velocity than a .223) sits around 1300 ft-lbs.

    M&P 40 full sized CCW?

It IS possible to conceal and carry the M&P 40. That being said, I wouldn't recommend it. I carried mine around for a couple days just for kicks, and I'll never do it again. It's just too big. I agree with RichBMW's statements; the compact M&P40c is a much, much better choice for concealed carry.

What is a great holster for an m&p 45 compact? (not CCW yet)

I recommend Blackhawk! SERPA CQC holsters. Easy to use and operate, and they have no downside, imo.

    9mm vs 40

"Exotic high pressure loads..." Lol? The 9mm Parabellum was developed in 1902. The current year is 2011, and we know that over time technology tends to change. Sure, +P and +P+ rounds may cause slightly more wear than an underpowered 115gr bullet originally developed in 1902. However, the...

    9mm carry/home defense gun

The HK P30 is a perfect choice for both. I use it as both my primary concealed carry and primary home defense. I have no issue with Glocks or M&Ps, as I own 2 M&Ps, but if you'd like to see what "perfect" ergonomics feel like, get your hands on a P30 and ask them to adjust the back and sides...

    Fn 5.7

Why do you keep posting this? It is blatantly false. I'll reply to this the same as I did last time: "The 5.7x28mm projectile is statistically safer than conventional pistol bullets, because the projectile design limits overpenetration and has a lower risk of ricochet. The lightweight...

    Fn 5.7

The only "negative" things about this gun to some people are the size of the round and it's size for concealed carry. Otherwise, this gun is extremely reliable, extraordinarily light for a weapon of it's size, has a high capacity, low recoil, etc. It's an outstanding weapon.

    Fn 5.7

What do you mean by reload? Putting rounds into the mag, or putting a mag into the gun? I find both rather easy.
