Took my kids shooting in the national forest yesterday and still nobody likes any of my pistols. Stopped by a gun store and scored this with all the mags for 350usd (more if you add stupid CBI and taxation). This has an LEM trigger. Internals very pristine, I doubt this had many rounds...

What a strange pistol. 380acp single stack, midsized, internal hammer and grip safety. I was hoping they would just make a 380 option for the normal shield.
A used hk usp40c from gander mountain about 2 weeks ago with their store closing discount (really the only deal in the whole store), and a new s&w m&p shield 9mm ordered from brownells that I received this afternoon. Went straight to the range and put 100 rds through each right after picking up...
I did most of my buying in the late 90's and early 2000's. Just for fun the past few days I've gone into sporting goods stores. The sad thing I noticed is that every one I went to the gun sections were all much smaller than they were. The guy at Sports Authority said they dropped carrying...
I have a pair of large frame cz75 clones. One compact, one fullsize.
For me personally the fit is amazingly natural, it's no effort for aiming (both pistols always comes up on target).
My complaint...the slide is terrible, and additionally my wife has no hope of every being able to charge...
My grandfather died a few years ago and now my uncles have been divvying up his collection. My father doesn't want any of them but would like myself and my brother to have some of them. I haven't yet talked to my uncle, but apparently I have the choice of two weapons.

Just curious, if a weapon is loaded yet in a holster, is it considered "safe" for passing around. Should people be very bothered if the muzzle of that holstered weapon briefly covers them.
In the case of a full sized pistol it's pretty easy to know where the end is and where it's pointing...
