    Any hams here with HF?

I changed the night frequency to 5403.50 USB or PSK. Makes it easier to monitor for both voice and digital simultaneously. See the frequency thread for details:http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=700208

    Amateur Radio HF Rally Frequencies

60m frequency I changed night to 60m so we could accommodate both voice and digital modes. It makes it easier to monitor for both :) I can still do 40m, but PM me to sked something.

    Any hams here with HF?

I had to be away from my station today unexpectedly. I'll try again tomorrow.

    Any hams here with HF?

Now monitoring 7045 +1500 PSK 31 and occasionally switching to 7270 LSB. Looks like 7270 is crapped out by a broadcaster, so not much luck there. Will move to 7280 and see how that lasts.

    Amateur Radio HF Rally Frequencies

I figure we'll start out by using these frequencies as calling channels. See if somebody is there by calling :) Sundown for me is 5:30 PM Mountain Time, everybody should probably make the switch to 40m around the time the sun sets where they are.

    Amateur Radio HF Rally Frequencies

El Paso and New Mexico HF Relay I'm located in southern New Mexico and can receive VHF locally or anywhere in New Mexico via repeaters. I can also get into El Paso via repeaters. If you're on VHF in my area PM me and I'll arrange to relay you into the rally frequencies.

    Any hams here with HF?

1/31/13 20:37 UTC: I'm on 14.080 monitoring for PSK-31 right now. I'll be in and out of the room, so if you don't hear something, just wait a bit and I'll get back to you. I'll switch to 40m sundown and monitor part of the evening as well.

    Any hams here with HF?

Over the weekend I'll monitor the PSK rally frequencies off and on as I can, and maybe do a bit of SSB. Hope to meet one of you on the air. Hopefully we can get this thing to the point where there's always a frequency we can hop onto if THR were to suddenly not work for whatever reason...

    Any hams here with HF?

For VHF/UHF Guys... If you don't have HF capability, find another THR member locally if at all possible to relay you in. If you have HF capability, post your city, state or grid square here to advertise availability. Try something like 146.55 MHz or 446.5 MHz to get in touch by simplex if at...

    Any hams here with HF?

Rally frequency? How do you all feel about setting up some rally frequencies? Any interested parties can monitor these frequencies and when you first show up if the frequency is not active, call "CQ THR de ______" on digital or "CQ Tango Hotel Romeo this is _______" on SSB voice and see if...

    Any hams here with HF?

My goal is to set up nets for people to still be able to talk if regular comms were down. Locally, I run a statewide net on a linked repeater network, but I'm trying to get people to migrate to HF.

    Any hams here with HF?

I'd recommend Fldigi. You can do everything in that program. I see you're from New Mexico...I run a 'NM Gun Talk' net Tuesdays at 7PM local time on the Megalink. If you're in range of one of the NM5ML repeaters, you should join us.

    Any hams here with HF?

I'd like to start an evening HF net for THR members and other gun owners. I'm thinking Tuesday evenings around 3560kHz or 7030 kHz depending on conditions. I'd prefer to run a digital net with MT63 or PSK, but if there aren't enough set up for that, SSB voice around 3900 kHz or 7200 kHz would...

CCW at Same Hotel as President or Other Dignitary

http://www.cnn.com/2011/10/02/opinion/greene-presidents-lodging/ Reading the above article, it seems that if you accidentally book a hotel room at the same place as POTUS you have to submit to bag searches and pat downs to get into the hotel while he's there. Assuming you are carrying legally...

    Night Stand: Concealed or Open?

You raise a good point. I will not lock my bedroom door and bunker down while letting the threat get to my kids.

    Night Stand: Concealed or Open?

I've kept a pistol on the nightstand for years but keep unchambered to prevent small children from hurting themselves, and the gun is never there if I am not next to it. I've found that I'm a pretty sound sleeper and easily surprised by family members coming in the room, so a thief in the night...

Hot .45 LC Loads for Blackhawk?

Thanks for the link, it answered my questions very well. I don't think I'll push the Blackhawk up to anywhere near 60,000 CUP, but it's good to know that going from the original 15,000 CUP or so to 30,000 is perfectly safe. I was looking at a Lee reloading manual and it listed .45 LC in a...
