What Do You Want in a Combat Rifle

I would take an m1a scout, troy upper hanguard, leatherwood cmr, surefire offset light.

Still stuck in the cold-war propeganda mentality I see.

    AR and AK buy

@ MISTWOLF The AK is only uncomfortable if you try to shoot it like an AR, reloads can be done in about 3 seconds. Ergos are more basic (not worse), sights are adequete (not great), if you don't like them replace them. The rare jams (haven't had one in over 4000 rounds before that it was a...

    rifle for 200yds

A saiga is easy enough for hits to 200 yds, only costs $300 at j and g for a 7.62x39 a 5.45x39 or a .223 (which is actually chambered for 5.56x45). I bring my .223 out to 400 yds regularly and torsos offhand are easy enough out to 300 yds.

What rifle do you prefer for PD?

I grew up shooting an m1 carbine, great little guns if fed proper ammo.

What rifle do you prefer for PD?

I think people misunderstood my post I meant for personal defense, home defense would be a portion of it but also as a trunk, outdoorsy etc personal defense. There are plenty of area's where a rifle would suit better for, this is not just limited to home.

What rifle do you prefer for PD?

I'm not looking for a heated debate over which choice is better, This is merely what type of rifle you keep to defend you and your family. I keep a WASR 10/63 UF with a us palm battle grip, a warsaw sling, three prong flash suppressor, a ultimak m2-b and a bushnell trs-25. Good out to 400...

    ak47 wasr10

Yeah and I've gotten that bushnell too hot to touch, dropped the gun on it and left it on for weeks at a time. Still on the same battery, still holding zero, still running strong. All for under $100, personally I'm very satisfied. Plus with the ultimak I can co-witness and the whole setup only...

    ak47 wasr10

Ultimak M2-B, seems to work pretty good and didn't even add weight (from my scale) compaired to the standard tube.

    ak47 wasr10

I have a WASR 10 UF straight sights and gas block and very little mag wobble, I can outshoot a arsenal my buddy has with it and it stays within 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 moa ( if I do my part[including ammo choice.]). Not a bad gun for $430. One of the biggest improvements you can make is adding an optic...

The saiga with conversion shouldn't cost more than 550 plus its a MUCH better rifle than any century arms.

    Hi-Point Carbine Quality?

I have a 995, bought it over 3 years ago for $180. Took it hiking, horseback riding and put well over 5000 rounds through and for the pricetag it's held up pretty good. It's not a 1000 dollar 9mm carbine, however I have managed to drop it off a 20ft cliffline into rocks and have pitched it on a...

    308 Semi-auto with great Accuracy

Even a Saiga .308 has been well known to produce Sub-MOA. Provided the right trigger, right ammo and fully converted. Which will land you well under 1500 dollars. Please hold the negative comments until you have looked it up.

    Which .308 Semi Auto?

I suggest a converted Saiga .308, can get in the sub MOA with decent ammo. and alltogether costs less than just about any other .308.

    1911 and Glock

I love them both, great guns, period.

Shot placement and rapid repeat fire outweigh caliber.

    refinished M91/30 Sniper version?

I do not, however you can make one off a ex-Pu sniper for about the same or less (depending on your capability with a Drill). Century does not guarentee that it will be an ex-PU rifle, nor does it use original ww2 scopes. Not worth anything past fun. Rebuild a PU and it will more than likely be...

best semi-auto carry gun for $700

Sorry add on, A glock 36 in .45 is MUCH wider than a glock 26. A glock 26 is easily the better choice.

best semi-auto carry gun for $700

A 26 glock or 27 glock conceals great, I carry a glock 23 conceals well with a baggy enough t-shirt. The only thing that even threatens poking on my shirt is the grip length. A glock 27 would easily fix that. For reference I'm 6 foot 4 inches, so your milage may vary.
