.40 Lite
The only way to get a soft shooting (relatively speaking) .40 caliber round is to reload them. This caliber is sometimes too much for a new shooter or someone who can't get used to a bit of recoil.Get her something in 9mm and she would be better off. IMHO joeyt
.22 top end
The .22 kit for my BHP seems like a great idea to me. Any one tried the Ciener conversion kit for this gun? Any problems with the staggered magazine? It is a 15 round mag so I imagine it has to be staggered. I was about to order the one for my Kimber when I spotted this one on the...

Springfield in 9mm
This would be a great gun for IDPA or plate shooting. Make sure to pick up a few mags for it , and to answer the question about capacity, they hold nine rounds. I have a S/A Custom Shop in .38 Super, that is one of my favorite single stack 1911's.
I wold reccomend getting a...
Taurus
I have the Model 608 Taurus revolver in .357. I use this 8 round wheelgun for pin shooting. It has a very good trigger and is real slick in double action. I have never had a problem with it. It will shoot the 200 grain logs, using .38 special cases and Blue Dot powder, and does a...
Who I am
I am a 67 year old retired guy who owns too many toys already, but that doesn't stop me when something catches my fancy. I spent 36 years on outside repairs in the vending trade. I was the guy they sent when your Juke Box or your pin ball machine didn't work.It was very interesting...
Hodgdon Manual
If you are referring to the magazine type manual, I have one and it is very handy. It is only for Hodgdon powders, but it has a wealth of loads for all calibers in hand guns, rifle and shotguns. Not a lot of technical info but definitely worth the price. Besides, you cannot have...
My information is that if the S/N starts with NM, it does not mean it is a National Match, it means the pistol was put together at the SA factory in Genesco NY. JoeyT
Nickled Colt
While serving in the U.S. Navy 57-61, I was issued a Nickled Colt. I don't know how old it was then. I believe they were issued to pilots due to the problem with rusting, but that is just a guess on my part. Joeyt
Kimber- What problems?
The 3 Kimbers I have owned have worked flawlessley. I am down to only one at the present time( 45 Custom Target ) for no particular reason. I had a minor problem with the ambi safety on it and sent it back to them for fitting. They had it back to me in less than a week...
