    15 rounds of .45 goodness-FNX-45 by a 1911 guy

Did they fix the problem that the FNP 45 had with Winchester White Box ammo? My FNP45 does not feed WWB reliably at all.

What's Your Real CCW?/Mr. Colion Noir

Before moving to Illinois last year, my EDC was a Sig 229 and then when I got my Dan Wesson V-Bob I started carrying that only. The V-Bob, while bigger, was much easier to conceal and more comfortable to carry. I carry in a Cross Breed SuperTuck.

    Fox News Sunday

I'm sorry, but it seemed to me like WLP could not directly answer some of the questions asked of him without going back to his talking points. He sounded exactly like a politician. I mean really, what does curbing gang violence have to do with answering a question about stopping mass shooters...

    Cooler heads are speaking out

Before people start spouting off pop psychology and not facts like the left likes to do with gun info, it seems like the most recent reports are that the killer had Aspergers Syndrome which is similar to Autism. Manyt individuals with Aspergers are very high functioning but socially awkward. It...

Wounded Warriors Project doesn't deal with companies involved with Firearms?

One of the primary treatments for PTSD is CBT with prolonged exposure therapy. Exposure is exactly that...exposure to stimuli that generate a negative response in order to correct that cognitive malfunction.

    Wallmart 45ACP

I also have an FNP 45 and regularly shoot Federal ammo and haven't had any problems with it. It is dirty, but at least it's not as bad as Tula or Wolf. It is also nice that it actually feeds through the FNP since WWB will not feed reliably. I typically shoot Federal or Blazer at the range.

    Textbook EDITS the Second Amendment!

Had they used "eg" instead of "i.e." I would see no problem in it. i.e. is used to specify or clarify a statement while "eg" is used to show an example. Shame on the publishers of that book.

Inherited this from my uncle. Mauser model 1914 manufactured in the mid to late 20's.

What do you consider the "common service calibers"?

In the US I'd think that the most common service calibers are 9mm, .40, and .45. I'm sure there are others, but I wouldn't consider them "common". Abroad, my experience is limited to Romania. My brother in law is a cop there and they carry the Carpati (modeled off of the Walther PPK) chambered...

    Sig 226 Enhanced Elite 9mm

I have a 229 enhanced elite and love it. Only problem I have is sitting down with it...the beaver tail gets a little bothersome if I wear it during a long car ride. I don't have any issues with finger bite.

What didn't you like about your CCW?

I've got a sig 229 enhanced elite that has the bobtail. When I'm sitting down the bobtail sometimes sticks into my side. I still carry it most of the time though.

Educate me: .45 pistols in $400-$600 range

An FNP 45. 1. My FNP 45 has been 100% reliable with every ammo except WWB. 2. It is a full size gun. Holds 14-15 rounds depending on which mags you get. 3. SA/DA trigger. Its a decent trigger 4. You can get them new with 3 mags in the $500-$600 range.

Assuming you are a permit holder how often do you carry?

Most of the time I am out of the house I'm either at school or at the gym...both places that prohibit firearms. I do not like leaving my gun locked in the car so I leave it at home in the safe. If, however I am going out with my wife and don't plan on having more than 1 drink, I am almost always...
