Thanks Sarge. He is a fellow Rotarian too so that gives me an angle!

Doing some CLEO sign-off research. Anywhere in the US, who got their CLEO signature?

Do you have contact info for your CLEOs? I wouldn't mind picking their brains. I'll just claim I am with the Taft Independent Newspaper and tell them I am just calling random CLEOs about the country.

Doing some CLEO sign-off research. Anywhere in the US, who got their CLEO signature?

I am a 01 FFL with SOT in Taft, CA on the western end of Kern County. I am thinking about approaching the local sheriff and seeing if I can convince him to do CLEO sign-offs on AOWs. I think it would be helpful if I could get some examples of other CLEOs who do sign off's and their rationale...

Gun Safe: iPhone personal firearms database with photo support. Very cool.

Sorry Tim, you misunderstood. I was wanting to know how many were home inventory apps and you provided a list of some. That is what I was looking for. taliv was just listing a ton of apps, apps that don't keep an inventory and really don't help with the discussion.

Gun Safe: iPhone personal firearms database with photo support. Very cool.

Thanks for the replies. Taliv, yes those are all great free apps. How many of them keep an inventory? That is comparing apples to oranges. I am not saying that your mind frame is invalid as clearly you judge apps based on their price and that is a valid concern. How many of them keep...

Gun Safe: iPhone personal firearms database with photo support. Very cool.

LOL. Why do you have to be so hostile? If it isn't your cup of tea, it isn't your cup of tea. Do a little research and you will quickly find it isn't my app, but a buddy's. I guess you didn't bother to read my last statement that if you are technologically competent, you can make your own...

Gun Safe: iPhone personal firearms database with photo support. Very cool.

Yeah this program is more for those that don't have the skills to make their own database. I used to keep mine in an Access file. I might switch over to Gun Safe. $6.99 is no big deal for me. Money comes and goes.

Gun Safe: iPhone personal firearms database with photo support. Very cool.

Jon, what happens when your computer gets stolen? Better yet, what happens when your iPhone with Gun Safe on it gets stolen? Are they going to come for your guns now? How will the vast amount of photos of you with guns on your iPhone not be any more likely an indicator you have firearms? What...

Gun Safe: iPhone personal firearms database with photo support. Very cool.

Hey everyone. Just in case you missed it. A California FFL, Ryan Kirkman of JK Supply Co came up with a cool iPhone application for keeping track of your firearms should you find yourself a victim of theft or burglary. It is an iPhone app that allows you to keep your gun information behind a...

Why I hope Schwarzenegger signs the ammo bill

I am a Californian from many generations prior. I am by no means the only one in this state that loves liberty and fights the good fight. There are millions of us. Unfortunately in a state of 35 million people, we are simply outnumbered. People don't understand the liberal or even just plain...

Why I hope Schwarzenegger signs the ammo bill

I agree with the OP. The 2000 AWB was proven to be the straw that broke the camel's back. After that gun owners united and retook California. Until the 2005 .50 BMG ban, but that just made us stronger and we retook both houses in the legislature! The lead ammo ban and microstamping? More...

California college student busted on AW charges; had MySpace pics

Sorry to bring this back up, but I was doing some research for a newspaper article I was writing. So now that all charges have been dismissed and it turns out he did absolutely nothing wrong. Are all of you who said he deserved what he got for exercising his 2nd Amendment rights feeling at...

Anyone know of a good scope with .308 reticles for M1A.

Remember, this isn't about doing what would be best, it is about a guy who has in his head he needs to scope his M1A and he wants the "scope designed for it". So I need something with the range finding reticles in it. He didn't sound like the MOA calculating type.

Anyone know of a good scope with .308 reticles for M1A.

I have a customer who wants a Springfield-Armory scope because it was "made for my M1A". Problem is, they no longer make them. Does anyone know of where I might find one, but more likely do you know anything similar that I can find in current production? I know there are some ACOGs with .308...

    Mosin-Nagant carbine in .30 carbine?

Why would it be wrong to sell that ammo to someone who is going to enjoy it more than you? Why would it be wrong to sell ammo that you plan on destroying by shooting it anyway? Why not sell the ammo to people who might want it to collect and so it will live on forever instead of being shot out...

I have a customer who isn't cheap and his rifles aren't cheap. He wants a good sized double rifle case that he can put his two expensive Africa rifles in and take to Africa with him. Money is not the main consideration, protecting his rifles is. He has no problems spending up to $400 on a case...
