Why is C&B revolver shooting so expensive.?

Being in Nebraska, you should be able to find stones that you can hand knapp into flints. I have been doing it since the 1970s, have to look a little, but I seem to be able to find them where ever there is gravel. I live in central Nebraska, so know you can find some somewhere, plus it is a...

I carry a Wilson CQB that ran about $2,800. Didn't buy it to be a safe queen.

    S&W 617 issues?

I just got a 617 4, everything is straight and tight on it. Shoots like a dream, but the fit and finish is nothing like my 1970s N frame. The trigger is no where close to the N frame either. It is not bad, but not near as light, in single or double action. The double action on the 617 is...

    Piettas Last Straw

I have been shooting black powder since the mid 1960s, most of my guns were Uberti, I did buy three Armi San Marco, they were junk, so continued to buy Uberti, having talked to many shooters over the years, they have been telling me that Pietta's quality has gone up over the last couple of...

Dry firing used guns at gun shows/auctions,,,

I had two as new Pythons, no marks on the cylinders, If you think I would let anyone, no matter how much gun knowledge he says he has, load snap caps and test them, you are crazy. I sold both, with the ties still on them, and no problems. Joe know it all could have left cylinder marks on the...

.22LR ammo is now available, but where?

I ordered 4 cartons from Graf yesterday. Their 7.95 flat rate shipping made them come out to 6.7 cents a round. Sale lasted longer than 45 minutes. I did not see the e-mail until late last evening, at first would not accept my order, tried a second time, accepted. Shipped today, will be at my...

    Anvil Shooting

Yep, used to do it every 4th of July at black powder shoots. would put a bead of wet clay around the depression to make a seal, fill with black powder, put in a fuse, set other anvil on top, press down to seal on clay, light fuse, get back, and as you say almost put in orbit. Have to keep...

    Cylinder Conversion Question

I have two Taylors conversion cylinders for Pietta 1860s, and a Kirst Koversion for a Uberti 1860, all three were timed perfectly, with no work from me. All are a hoot to shoot. You do have to do metal work for the Kirst, but anyone who has a Dremel tool, and any kind of minimal skill with tools...

    Should i convert ?.

I have two Taylors conversion cylinders, both on Pietta 1860 Army's, and one Krist Konverter cylinder that I installed on a Uberti 1860 Army. All three work fine, and shoot just as well as when they were cap and ball. at first I loaded 45 Colt cases with the bullets seated deeper to fit in the...
