    M1A/M14 barrel drawings

Yeah, that's true. I only wish this was like "building" an AR: $100-$150 every pay check.

    M1A/M14 barrel drawings

Anyone have drawings/dimensions for M14/M1A barrels? Specifically the location of the gas port, op rod guide, and cuts for the front sight assembly? If I ever get my money saved up I'd like to chamber one in .260 Rem. I'd love to try it. I know that I'd need an adjustable gas port...

    Rechambering a 1903A3

Thanks for the info.on the Lyman 48 Its definitely getting rebarreled. I need the practice and I want a slightly heavier contour on it. I am pretty sure it'll be 6.5, .280, or .25-06. I need ti see if the school has a .280 reamer, and check on the condiction of the. 25-06 and 6.5 reamers. I...

    Rechambering a 1903A3

I was considering some of the mid-length cartridges ( .308 7mm-08) but I'm not sure if I will need to modify the magazine to feed properly. I have a Mauser I rebarreled in 6.5x55 so I have the dies and components on hand. Any one have pictures of a nicely sportorized 1903A3? I'd...

    Rechambering a 1903A3

My roommate has a Win. 70 he chambered in .35 Whelen. Its fun but not really in the realm of what I'm looking for. I'm willing to sacrifice terminal performance for lighter recoil. In that vein, how is the recoil of .25-06? Or .257 Roberts?

    Rechambering a 1903A3

I have a 1903A3 that's been badly sporterized, and I think I want to rebarrel it. The action/bolt are in pretty good shape, and won't be hard to clean up. The stock is a lost cause and I'm considering making one for it. My goal is to and up with a very pretty gun that is in the style of the...

    Dealers selling to "unsavory" characters

Regardless of what ever the person looks like, you have a responsibility to your license and to yourselg to not go through with sales you believe may be suspect. If you have a gut feeling trust it. If the person feels slighted they are much more likely to.find a different dealer than file a...

    Rifle actions - Suggestions.

deadasslast, What do you mean? Blueprinting simply means truing as many bearing surfaces as possible to be perpendicular to the bore axis. Things like squaring the front of the action, truing the bolt lugs, and using those now-true lugs to lap the cut outs in the action to increase lug...

    Rifle actions - Suggestions.

As far as prices I purchased the FN SPR and the Remington 700 actions for about $250 each. We may be getting another chance at an FN so I may do that. The quality is just astounding for the price.
