Ever talked with someone who has shot another human being? You should.

As far as how war affects you in civilian life, I like to think it made me a better defensive civilian. Not paraniod, just opens my eyes wider, so to speak. Have never had to draw on anybody outside of war, hope I never have to, but I will be ready for it if need be. I think talking does help...

    marlin front sight dovetail

Honestly, no idea. Save for machining a new one. Have you thought about installing a ramp base with a standard 3/8 dovetail? I know you'd probably have to change rear with it but a lyman or williams reciver peep, or lyman or marbles improved tang peep would work wonders on a lever 357:D. Just a...

    Brass shelf life

I am still fairly new to handloading, only been doing it about 6 years. Have a question about older brass. A friend just gave me around 1500 rounds worth of 30-06 brass. All seem to be headstamped LC match '53 and FA match '61. I've loaded countless rounds of LC and I know its exellent brass...

Rossi 1892 - at wits end with this thing!

Thats what I figured from what he posted. Badly worn or bent stop, thats why I asked how many rounds through it. Wanted to see how well used it is before I said anything. :-) Happy shooting.

Weapon mounted light on a handgun?

On longguns I do, on handguns I do not. For one reason mainly, backup weapon. I still use c and d cell maglights for that. A handgun is still a mechanical device and mechanical devices can fail no matter how reliable they are supposed to be. Same goes for ammo. So if either fails I have a decent...

Rossi 1892 - at wits end with this thing!

How many rounds have been through it? Also, has anything been touched before other than disassembly/assembly? Never done work on 92s or 86s specifically, but I have some experiance with leverguns, so I'll try to help if I can.

    Sig sight tool

Guy I work with just gave me a sig sauer universal sight tool. Sigs website obviously only lists the sigs it will work on. Belive it was made by mgw. Anybody know if this "universal" tool is truly universal and will work on other brands, or just sigs? Thanks for help. Happy shooting.

    Reliability

+1 for all comments on hk products +1 for looking at SA XDs, flippin outstanding pistolas As for beretta 92s, had a beretta 92 compact before my stint in the army and it would NOT shoot any load put in it worth a damn. .32 ACP fun!

Finally showing the 32 acp some love! Hate when people bash on it. Sorry no pics yet but I do have a MAB model d 2, cz 83, and had a beretta 81 that I gave to my dad as a b-day gift. All good shooters till rear sight on MAB loosened in the dovetail. Any MAB owners that know where to get parts...

    eaa witness compact newb question

Never had an issue with any eaa products. Fullsize witnesses in 45 and 9mm. Also tried other cz "copies/clones" in form of CD jerico and baby eagle (both 9mm) and liked them both. For another reasonably priced metal frame auto, and I know I will catch flak for this cuz they are bigger and fugly...

Have a question about a survival weapon. Help please.

I think the carbine you are thinking about taking glock mags would be the kriss super. Neat weapon, several variants, 9mm 40s&w and 45acp glock sticks iirc, made in usa (va beach, va), simple and reliable. Downside? Mucho expensivo. For a good shtf weapon if you cant shoulder a stock on strong...

    Airsoft, tool or toy?

I asked about this because we used sims for training at schofield, and after the initial training, pl and psgt asked the rest of us joes if any of us would like to continue that kinda force on force on our own time. Lt was a airsofter from texas, and got most of the platoon into it as well as...

    Can we ever "win"

Before I post my reply, I want to say it is just what I think and I know not everybody if anybody will agree with me. That being said, here goes. As far as us getting a "win", no we never will. Unless the people and politicians of this country go back to a constitutional way of thinking. We all...

    Colt anaconda

I couldnt sell it for any dollar amount. Even paying 300, it was more or less a gift, much like k4swb, from a old friend that was a mentor. He taught me reloading, all about the 1911, and more history on ww2 arms and colectables than any book could ever teach me. Between doctor bills and...
