I just dealt with this issue with Big Daddy Guns out of Gainesville, Florida. Their website says "Real-time inventory; in stock ready to shop".
They showed 2 Ruger Alaskans in stock for $899.00 with free shipping so I purchased one and they charged my card (On a Sunday).
On Monday, I get...
I know it seems shady, but I'm sure this happens across the board. Looks like the administration is cracking down on the firearm industry in general just to generate more negative attention.
Agreed with all points. Someone mentioned one that I find odd every time; when the reviewer 'loves' the product and gives it a 4 out of 5. What? It's like a movie; I try to decipher the 'subtext' when I'm reading a review to see what the reviewer really means.
First come, first served. I just haven't been shooting as much since ammo's been so scarce and I definitely don't go hang around WW or any store no matter how good their prices are. I did randomly go into a Wally World and they had a few things in stock so I picked up 3 boxes; though no 22lr.
A local FFL here in Lewisville often has the same guns pop up for $200; they are trade ins from the local security companies. Definitely good buys at either price.
