    9mm defence cartridges

Federal HST 124gr +P is what I have. Speer Gold Dots and Winchester Ranger T series are also good. aguywithagun: You may be a little late to the stock-up rodeo. There's been a run on bullets recently and some of the readily available stock has dried up. If you wait a while it will settle...

Let's be honest for a bit...

For me it depends on the gun and the situation. In all honesty, I don't think I'll ever fire a single shot or even need to draw in a self defense situation. From that perspective it's foolish for me to even carry a gun. However, I do choose to carry one on occasion, foolish or not, because I...

Why Arent 9mm Revolvers More Popular?

The reason for poor sales is that perhaps for the vast majority of the gun-owning public, many of whom do not frequent internet gun forums, the belief is that .38+P is more powerful than 9mm. I remember in the early 90s when police departments, including the one I worked for, switched from...

    Where do you shoot?

Indoor No draw from holsters. Magnums are OK, FN Five-Sevens are not. I don't have many options where I live. I don't live in the country and don't own land in the country. There is only one private gun club but it is outdoors only, takes a pretty good drive to get there, and is rather...

What pistol would you go to war with?

The OP has an interesting post history. Most of his posts are thread starters with no followup, which then get locked. To stay on topic, I'd take my trusty Glock 22, since that's about the only thing I have that might be combat-worthy.

What pistol would you go to war with?

Forgive me if I don't fully understand today's modern military, but if I were drafted and had to go to war, wouldn't they issue me the guns I was supposed to take? Or was that a figure of speech, and you didn't literally mean "go to war?" Anyway, the US would have to be in dire straits...

    S&W 66 4 inch, Stainless steel.

$450 is a reasonable price for a 66 4" in good condition. I just recently paid $525 for a 66-1 4" in very good condition, and am happy with the purchase.

Please, school me on Glock magazine extensions.....

I bought both the Pearce +2 and +3 mag extensions for my G26. I usually carry it with the +2 extension, as it gives just enough extra grip to make the gun really comfortable. I can only get one extra in the +2, and 2 extra in the +3, so as you mentioned, not everyone gets full amount...

    Tyler T Grips are back!

I've always owned Tyler-T grip adapters for all of my revolvers. Perfect concealment gun for me is a K-frame round-butt with the stock wood grips and Tyler-Ts to fill it out a little bit. Glad they'll still be there in the future.

    Glock 26 Gen 4 issues?

I own one and haven't had any issues with it, maybe 300 or so rounds downrange so far. It's my preferred carry weapon when I can dress to conceal it. I've also got a G22 Gen 4 (.40 S&W full-sized) which has been flawless through about 500 rounds, both 40 and 9mm using a Storm Lake conversion...

    Revolver for Home Defense?

S&W Model 10 4" on my side, S&W Model 66 2.5" on the wife's side, Remington 870 12ga nearby. Been set up like that for years and years, we've never felt under armed. When we had a home invasion back in the late 90s, I grabbed the 12ga and she had her 66 in hand. Burglars fled rapidly.

    Bersa Thunder .45 acp

I've got the Bersa Thunder 45 UC Pro in the matte black finish which I purchased in 2010. It's a good gun for the price and mine has been reliable and very accurate for me. The DA trigger pull is long but fairly smooth on mine, and the SA pull has a little travel but is still good...
