I am preparing a packet for my LEO friend that will be teaching the Lesson III: Firearms and the Law portion of my CPL classes. I want to make his job as easy as possible and prepare him for some questions that he might be asked. What are some of the most popular or thought provoking...
Well? The tip of my factory hammer strut in my SA Mil-Spec 1911 just broke clean off in the middle of a stage last week. I installed a high ride grip safety and speed hammer about 6,000 rounds ago, but nothing else has been touched on it. Any ideas?
Thanks.
I received this article in Warrior News today. I though all of you would like to read it as well. I'm sure that some will take issue with one of his "ideas", but I totally understand and agree with it.
Hope you all enjoy the read...now discuss.:D

I got this e-mail from Gabe Suarez today. I thought you all might like to read it.

I recently purchased a “new to me” used Springfield Loaded 1911 chambered in 9mm. It is a beautiful gun that has run flawlessly for the 250 rounds of factory and competition loads that I have put through it…with one exception. The slide fails to lock back when the magazine is empty. I am using...
The well has been nearly running dry for IDPA scenarios lately. I was trying to think of movie scenes that would translate into IDPA stages. The first and most obvious one is the "Yo Hommie" scene from Collateral. The only other one that comes to mind, off the top of my head is the scene from...
Think of this game as dry fire practice without the annoying "BEEEEEEEEP".

Okay, it's not really firearms related, but it will be fun before it's locked.
Here's the link fellas: 2007 MI IDPA Championship
If you want to shoot, hurry up and get your applications in. It is only $80 for 10 kick ass stages. If the interest doesn't increase, it may be canceled! The last time I heard anything about it, the number of applications was about...
Well, who's going? I'm a little bit nervous, because I haven't got much trigger time in lately. I've watched and helped plenty of other people though. Being an SO is kind of a pain sometimes (lots of practices and matches). I volunteer at my club quite often, so the shooting seems to take a...
One of my shooting buddies bought a Taurus PT-92 with a picatinny rail. He cannot find a kydex holster to fit the gun. He tried one for a PT-92 without a rail, but it wouldn't fit. The rail keeps it from fitting properly. Does anyone know if there are kydex holsters available for this model...
Well, I shot a Classifier tonight. I was in the low 100's in my practice sessions, but I ended up with a 115. Stages 1 and 2 were very good...but stage 3 kicked my ass!:cuss: It looks like I need more practice at 20 yards and I need to speed up a touch. Once I can get the hits, I'm sure...
It's a simple one, but it gets me dinged quite often. When my last round is in the pipe and my mag is empty, let me drop it and leave an empty mag behind. Don't ding me with a procedural. I did not leave any ammo behind!:cuss:
I know, I know, it's not one of the three IDPA approved...
To those of you that are IDPA Masters, did you attain this classification by shooting the classifier or were you "moved up" at a major match?
I've been shooting SS for the last year (I missed EX by less than 1 second:banghead: ), and I usually place in the top three of the area matches. Some...
I'll be shooting my first USPSA Single Stack match soon. I have a 1911 chambered in .45ACP that I will shoot. My friend doesn't own a 1911, but I was going to let him use my 1911 chambered in 9mm. The only problem is that it is a Para LDA double-stack. Would he be allowed to use this gun, if...
I found this page while I was cleaning out my "bookmarks". I haven't laugh this hard in quite a long time!
This should be a "sticky", for those days when you just need a laugh.

I've checked their website, and if they were there, I missed them. Google just gives a bunch of links to forums that discuss them, but not where to get them. Could anyone help me out? Thanks.:D
I've looked at ARFCOM, too.
