The use of standard primers seems really neat. There used to be an LP or SP conversion for Blackpowder here but I've never seen one.
I have been to ranges where regular Magnums weren't a problem, because of expenses and thoughts put in sound proofing (usually because of neighbourhood considerations, not for us).
So I would say that courtesy goes a long way but range managers have to work on it too. Mine has 22 and air gun...

I've got a .44 Dragoon and a .45 Blackhawk.
It took me years to get both out at the same time. Before that I thought that the Dragoon was more lightly built because of its lines... Turned out that the Ruger is lighter, skinny and looks hacksawed.

231 and HP38 were and still are the same powder, from different lots.
As mentionned LEE copied data from Winchester and Hodgdon, who worked and printed as they wished.
I think Winchester stuck to the old way: max. loads and pressures to show...
