    Westlake Nitro Conversion (Taurus)

Thanks. I wonder how much they would fetch on a U.S. auction :). The use of standard primers seems really neat. There used to be an LP or SP conversion for Blackpowder here but I've never seen one.

Out of curiosity, are his guns common? Prices are high even by European standards.

    Shooting at an indoor range

I have been to ranges where regular Magnums weren't a problem, because of expenses and thoughts put in sound proofing (usually because of neighbourhood considerations, not for us). So I would say that courtesy goes a long way but range managers have to work on it too. Mine has 22 and air gun...

I took eleven canadians to the range,,,

Thanks for your time; it can be difficult to introduce newbies to the sport. I hope they will find a good range at home and spread the good news.

    Other Turret Press inquiry

A previous thread was locked so I'll answer here. Please google images for "Presse de rechargement Lynx" and "Presse a tourelle Lynx" As a side note, the Dillon AT 500 is an interesting competing idea which got away with new tooling or engineering...

Walker Colt vs Ruger Old Army

Clements converts them to .50, they usually have some original bbls left after the work is done. www.clementscustomguns.com/rugeroldarmy.html And it says here that members of our ROA club get a discount: http://www.classicballistx.com/Buy_a_Cylinder.html

    Rogers & Spencer anyone?

The R&S has become very scarce since Pedersoli bought Euroarms. The website is still there though: http://www.euroarms.net/euroarms_netRoger_file/euroarms_netRoger.htm Feinverkbau makes/made one at a price which wouldn't be realistic here.

Walker Colt vs Ruger Old Army

Sir, I don't know for sure about the photosoppin' but I can assure you that I don't own such a tablecloth :D. I think the pattern would make it more difficult to fake actually. The story I remember is about a store making a limited run as a publicity stunt. That's what I wrote in 2008 on an...

The answer to the ROA's weakness: A few hundred were reportedly made by a French store.

    Colt Combat Government let down

I would try a different top assembly (bbl and slide); then one of my bushings; then a barrel, just a few rounds, if it looked safe.

Did Winchester make any production black powder revolvers?

Rogers & Spencer (Utica, New York) replica. Maybe the markings are not too sharp and were misread. http://www.euroarms.net/euroarms_netroger_file/roger_spencer.htm I would jump on it if the barrel was OK. Let us know what turns out :).

    The "mighty" Virginian Dragoon

I've got a .44 Dragoon and a .45 Blackhawk. It took me years to get both out at the same time. Before that I thought that the Dragoon was more lightly built because of its lines... Turned out that the Ruger is lighter, skinny and looks hacksawed.

    I Think I Killed My S&W 610!

    problem with Lee load data

They are most likely both correct, or safe. 231 and HP38 were and still are the same powder, from different lots. As mentionned LEE copied data from Winchester and Hodgdon, who worked and printed as they wished. I think Winchester stuck to the old way: max. loads and pressures to show...
