    Carrying and Use of Knives

The knife is just a tool, a tool with which to cut things. Same as a gun, a gun is a tool to make holes from a distance. The weapon is between your ears.

    Rate Machete Brands

Most machetes and axes do not come from the factory sharp, its not until you get into the high end stuff that they come sharp. They do this for a couple of reasons, production costs, legal liability, and letting the end user set the edge to his preferred angle for the work they are doing. A...

    Rate Machete Brands

I have examples of of those brands and others, but no two in the exact same pattern except for a a couple of WWII machetes in a 21" Latin pattern. Plumb Hatchet

The two on the left appear to be hewing hatchets or broad hatchets , for flatting one side of a log. the one on the far left looks like it has had a double bevel put on it which makes hewing a straight ling almost impossible. I find a half hatchet to be a very handy tool around the camp...

    Estwing hatchet

I know there are guys that make kydex sheaths for Estwings but they costas much as a new hatchet. You can make a mask from pvc pipe and a heat gun or old fire hose, but I find that a good chunk of rubber hose and some paracord work fine.
